Hi all, I know there are always questions like this but you all are a wealth of knowledge. I have gone to Disneyland a number of times but it has been a long time since I have gone in the summer. Anyways....is the resort crazy busy the first week of June yet? My son and I (I work at a school)get out of school on May 29th this year and are thinking of a Sunday-Thursday trip as a family during that following week (1-5th). I have gone to Disney during the week before Christmas when it was busy (about a day or two before the local schools got out) and that was manageable if you knew how to work the system. Would it be about that busy, or do you think it would be crazy already. I know schools in the areas generally don't get out of school until the 19th or so, but wasn't sure if the parks would be crazy full of out of towners.

Anyways....I guess I rambled enough,
Any info would be great!

I think a trip at that would be great. The weather will be warm and as far as crowds go - the crowds should be average. Sunday morning will be the slowest of the weekend. Since the rest of your trip falls during the week and the majority of CA and the nation's schools are not out for summer vacation, you should be OK. A friend of mine took a trip over Father's Day and the park was packed. A difference of only 2 weeks -- but a big crowd difference.

I was there the 7th - 11th - and the crowds were not unbearable, and it actually was not nearly as hot as I was afraid it would be. I would definitley go back in the same time period. Many schools actually don't get out until later June...so you miss a bunch of those. They did have grad nights on Thursday, and the park closed at 9pm.

I went the first week of June in 2005, and the crowds were very manageable. It was the beginning of the 50th Celebration, too, so I expected large crowds, but was pleasantly surprised.

I was there this year the 3rd - 5th. A Monday - Wednesday. Not terribly crowded, but during the day there were student groups which clogged both parks a little. It was great early & late in the day, though.

Also, lots of folks from Texas (like us) & lots of folks from AZ.

But us AZ folks are friendly!!! :thumbsup2

This is by far my most favorite time of year to go. The weather is gorgeous and warm, all the rides are open or should be. The crowd level is totally bareable because most schools in the area are still in during that time. If anything its a bunch of high school field trips and church gatherings there. But its definately not bad. Also the park is open till 11 each night and 12:00 on weekends and I also find that the electrical parade is up and running so for all these reasons :cool1:

Lets put it this way.... I was there the first week of june this year, and nemo was opening while I was there, they had celebrity viewings of Nemo and the Pirate Island just opened and I still found the crowd level to be bareable. I found it much busier in October with all the halloween festivities then I did during this time.

Yay!:cool1:

Thanks for the info guys! That's basically what I thought the situation would be, but every once in a while it's crazy when you think it would be moderate.

Guess I can start obsessively planning now!:woohoo:

Anyone know when in June it starts to get busy? We plan to be there june 8-12. I planned to hit the parks during the week with the option of going on Sunday in case that is the only night with fireworks/F! We are going to SD first but I can switch it around, only then I'll be there on the weekend. Any opinions on which way to do it? SD first or DL first (trip dates are 6/4-6/14).
