Disneyland Divas: Working out, getting healthy and thin in 2010!!

I made good choices yesterday but still have been having a difficult time this week. I am hoping for a loss, even just .2 would be ok. I still have a couple of weekly allowance points left for the week but am going to a birthday party today and Glenn is making a disney recipe for dinner!

Hey all...where is everyone? Cristabel, don't you have weigh in tonight? I hope it goes well...keep us posted! I am working a double and brought lots of healthy food. Feeling really good so far and have already had 6 bottles of water!

Didn't work out much this last week but will start with a good work out this coming Wednesday!

Hey Sarah!! I did better than I thought I was going to last week, lost almost 2 1/2 pounds. But I don't think I'll hit the 10 pound loss before our trip, I still have about 4 to go, in 10 days!!! Oh well, it's a process and I'm getting a good start on it.

I've been eating well for the most part, I had a bit of a breakdown on Friday and pretty much inhaled 3 pieces of Sees chocolate. :rolleyes1

My happy news is that I've officially lost 20 pounds! :banana: I'm hoping I can keep it up, especially with the Girl Scout cookies that are all over my office now. Of course they have to be my two favorites: thin mints and caramel delights. :eek: This is just a cruel way to test my willpower. :sad2:

To celebrate my weight loss, know what I'm going to do? I'm going to treat myself to a trip to Disneyland with the Divas!!!!! :woohoo:

I made it to the gym again today (was there yesterday too). 50 min on the crosstrainer at level 2. I think I am back in the swing of things now, meaning I'm not getting exhausted from the workouts. I did a few arm weights and two arm machines.

Perspective...I have lost a total of 9 gallons of milk and a sack of potatoes! Another way of looking at it...I have lost more than my 2 kids' weights combined.

That is so great! And definitely another way to look at it. And nicer than thinking about how much butter it would be!!

I'm not weighing in tonight because I'm still at home. I'm going to weigh in tomorrow night.

Wow, it's so hard to stay OP when you come to visit family. I haven't tracked since Friday. I know it's not that long but I feel like I've failed already :sad1: I don't think I have eaten horribly or uncontrollably in the last three days. I did go walking 1.6 miles on Friday and for 30 minutes on Sunday but that's it.

I'm worried about my weigh in tomorrow but I won't avoid it because then I did these past two weeks for nothing! I've already made plans with my gym buddy, Nicole to meet up at the rec center after my meeting. I'm happy to go back to my apt because I feel totally in control, where as here I feel completely OUT of control. :sad2:

and to top it off, Aunt Flo decided it'd be a great time for a visit and I think I'm getting sick. WHY?! :headache:

I'm off to chug water. That is one thing I know I can do and it won't have a negative impact on my weight unlike stuffing my face with food.

Cristabel...you are right...it is a good idea to go weigh in and to think of things that you can do that will help you be on plan. Good for you for making plans to work out and for sticking with your meetings! The only time you fail is if you quit...if you keep trying then you are a winner!

I lost 1.8 lbs tonight for a grand total loss of 81.6 lbs since Mid May. Woo Hoo!

Ugh, I gained 2.2 lbs this past week. HOW?! WHY?! ARGGGGGHHHH :mad:
I know my eating Fri - yesterday wasn't great but I did exercise! I wonder if AF has something to do with this huge weight gain.

I'm only going to be here at my apt until Thursday because I have two doctors appts on Friday so I'm taking the train home on Friday morning and seeing if I can hitch a ride back to my apt with my sister since she & her bf are going to DL on Sunday. I'm definitely going to do better this week and not let the weekend at home mess me up again!

I'm majorly bummed about this and I'm going to drown my sorrows in 32 oz of water. That'll bring me to 64oz for the day. I'm going to the gym tomorrow & Thursday after class and I'm making sure I burn at least 400 - 500 calories. For Friday & Saturday exercises I'll be taking Jingles to the bike trail and we'll do the route that Osita and I used to do, equaling up about 3 miles in one work out.

I hope everyone has a healthy week and I'm determined to lose the 2.2 lbs I gained this past week and then some!

You can do it, Cristabel! But I know what you mean about the weekend biting you in the butt. I totally over-indulged, and now I am being super-careful with my eating. I'm hungry right now, and I almost had a bowl of cereal, but I think I'll just go to bed with Idol and wait for tomorrow.
 
Cristabel, good for you for making a plan on how to have a better week! I will join you in the commitment to working out Wednesday and Thursday! 4-500 calories it is!

I have had many many gains on this 9 month journey but the trick is to keep trying! You can do this! We all can!

What's wrong with popcorn? My favorite use of my points!

I like popcorn. I've been eating too much popcorn. And he's been cooking it in coconut oil and putting too much salt on it. I think the salt is making me retain water, which is not allowing me to lose as much as I'd like.
