Disneyland Divas working out, getting healthy, and looking fine in '09!!

Good evening!

I am just feeling frustrated with myself tonight. The past few days I have been eating like I'm starving. Yesterday, I had a 3 slices of pizza for lunch and then 2 for dinner. :eek: I am so ashamed to even type that out. It is the truth though. Then today, I had pizza again for lunch! OMG! WHAT am I doing?? And while I am eating, I am thinking to myself, "put that down...you don't want it." Yet, I eat. And eat. Ah, I am not sure what my deal is.

I also really need to figure out a good time to work out. I am thinking mornings at the track next to the school I work at, but then I will be nas-tay for the rest of the day. I may just have to bring some body splash and face wash to use afterward.:rotfl:

I am ready to start fresh right now. I did have a small WW cake instead of having a cream-filled donut for dessert. That is 1 point vs. 9 points. SO yay me for that one!:cool1:

I am taking veggies for lunch and will figure something out for dinner. I have my workout bag in my car so no excuse to not exercise after work. I haven't worked out in sooooooo long!

Here is to a new start now! I know my weight will go up this friday but I can make it so it is not quite so bad!

Today was very good. I don't know if I ate enough calories so I think I'll be munching on some fruit while I study for my business test. But I did exercise again!

I did 45 minutes, vigorous swimming. According to healthstatus.com I burned 805 calories! :goodvibes

I fit into a smaller size underwear! :lmao:I was an 18/20 in Lane Bryant and now I'm a 14/16. I wish that was my pant size!

So, for my updates...

I haven't exercised at all this week. I had a meeting with my personal trainer today and he said that was a good thing, since I have been training so hard to meet my goal of running around the lake. And he gave me a new schedule for the next three weeks that is WAY tuned down from what I've been doing. Since my 1/2 marathon isn't until Feb 1, I need to avoid burning out or injuring myself this far ahead. So I'll just be running 2 or 3 times a week and then weight training 2 times a week. And the time/distance of my runs are only half of what they were. When I meet my trainer again in a month, he's going to get me back on a more intense program. Halloween candy and tv set here I come!!! Just kidding...judging by how I've felt this week, I'm doubting I'll have any probably getting used to a less intense workout schedule.

My eating hasn't been going to well. I just don't know if I'm going to lose any more weight from here. I guess I'm not even sure if I want to. I mean, I know that I'd like to, but I don't know if I want it enough to make the necessary sacrifices to get do it. I am within my BMI range now and I feel healthy, so I really think it's OK for me to just focus on the healthy part -- getting exercise and eating better. And if my weight is just stabilizing here, well, I think I'm ok with that.

So, has anyone decided to sign up for the Disneyland 1/2 marathon with me next August? There are 5k races as well.... Discount for $15 off the Disneyland 1/2 marathon is available now. I want to sign up! Anyone want to join me???

Woo Hoo!! Congrats on both the swimming and the smaller size. Doesn't matter that it's underwear and not slacks. It just means that you are heading in that direction.

It sounds like your trainer has a great schedule set up for you. I would take his advise and give your body a rest.

If you are within your BMI range I wouldn't worry about the number on the scale. Heck it sounds like you are in pretty good shape. You've done a 1/2 marathon! Sometimes I think we worry too much about what the scale says (especially when you are basically healthy and are comfortable with your size).

I so WISH I could join you on your 1/2 marathon. After our trip in May we will be going no where. I'll be here cheering you on and will walk the trails on the same weekend for the same distance (sorry for my ignorance, how far is a 1/2 marathon in miles?)

Well I haven't done a 1/2 marathon yet. But I'm bound and determined to get there! I started training in April and have made it from being able to run 0 miles and to being able to run 9 miles. The half marathon is 13.1 miles, so when I pick back up my more intense training in November, I'll have a couple months to get to being able to run 13.1 miles for my first race Feb 1 in Huntington Beach, CA.

It was really the Disneyland 1/2 marathon that sparked my whole interest in starting down this path. I just didn't have time to train properly to do it last year. I plan to be ready by this year! Now I just have the get the DH on board to go down there with me for the event.

It's Friday. I haven't stepped on the scale. Here's my exercise report out for the week: Ran 9 miles last Friday, yoga on Sunday and weight training on Thursday. So it was a good week. I had a stressful work week and ate a little more sugar than I should have :headache: But they were meringue low fat cookies!

My DH is headed for Reno for the weekend for a "boys" weekend. I went ahead and brought up my plans for a "girls" weekend at DL in March. So far, I"m good to go. :thumbsup2

OF COURSE you can do better next week. All you need to do is go back to the basics -- eating right, exercising and drinking your water. Don't beat yourself up over one week. You will soon forgot this week when you get back on track. It's no big deal.

Be kind to yourself and get back to the basics that worked for you before. If you do the right thing, it will work again. For sure! :cheer2:

It's Saturday! HAPPY WEEKEND!

DH is in Reno for the weekend, so there won't be a lot of time for running. I'm going to try for an exercise class this morning and will put the boys in childcare. And then we have DS' soccer game. And tomorrow a princess and pirate birthday party. Lots to do and I will be ready for another weekend by the time DH returns. Just saving up my brownie points for the Divas Trip to DL next March!

This week has been hard because I was sick but I still managed to workout 4 days this week! Something I'm VERY proud of :goodvibes I think I might have a sinus infection and will probably go to urgent care tomorrow to check it out.

I walked my dog on Sunday, about 30 minutes. This new leash of hers is God-send, it's great!
I started swimming this week because with this cold I was in NO mood to run.
I swam 30 minutes Tuesday, 45 minutes Wednesday, and 45 minutes Thursday. I really like it. One lap I was doing Thursday night, I was using only my abs to propel myself through the water. Well, the pool at the gym is only 3-4ft deep. I didn't swim with my eyes open because I had contacts in so as I was going I apparently go close to the floor of the pool and smacked my nose hard! This happened TWICE! After the second time I thought I broke my nose and was looking for blood but there wasn't any. Now I get this really painful burning sensation in my left nostril and it affects the whole left side of my face (eye socket, headache, watery eyes). So my dad things I might have a sinus infection. When I got to Facey tomorrow I'm going to strongly request x-rays (aka demand!) to make sure nothing is wrong.

So my eating has been off. I have eaten badly but I have not eaten a lot. I think that is due to my cold.


So I went to the gym today to weight myself and I'm -4lbs! :woohoo: As much as I love losing that much weight in a week, I don't want to be sick anymore.

I'm SO close to fitting into my mummy t-shirt but sadly it won't be happening my this Wednesday. Oh well, I can wear it on Halloween! I'll probably go to Wal-mart today to find one that fits. I'm so excited! Only 4 days until DL/DCA & MTOTP!:3dglasses

I went from 217 the day we left, to 226 today. But hey, what's done is done and I am itching to get back on track and drop that weight!! So time to get serious again.

I'll try to read back tomorrow if I can. I have tons of laundry waiting for me! :scared1:

Really, 9lbs? That sounds like a bit much but then again I don't know what you ate over there in DL. Make sure you always weigh yourself in the morning before eating anything and after "relieving yourself" ;)

If you really did gain weight, you'll lose it in no time once you're back on track.

I just want to congratulate you on getting on that scale. As for me, I usually avoid it after vacations, telling myself that I'll wait until I lose a couple of those pounds first. Of course, rather than losing the pounds, I usually just keep staying off the scale and end up gaining a few more. It really shows your commitment and honesty with yourself to "face the music." Heck, it's a vacation! I hope you had a GREAT time. I loved the pictures that were posted and you look fabulous!

I'm having a rough morning. No one put on the alarm clock this morning and our internal alarms didn't seem to go off either. Usually I can count on one of the kid to be up by 6:45am and no one got up until 7:30am. It was a mad dash to get the kids to school on time and I am tired after having to hold down the fort by myself all weekend while the DH was playing poker with the buddies in Reno. Let's just say I'm having a hard time showing him any sympathy for being tired now.

Work is...well...there's no point going into it, but let's just say it's stressful and I basically am fighting for my job right now as we're going through a merger. Send pixie dust fast. :wizard:
