Disneyland Divas working out, getting healthy, and looking fine in '09!!

Really, 9lbs? That sounds like a bit much but then again I don't know what you ate over there in DL. Make sure you always weigh yourself in the morning before eating anything and after "relieving yourself" ;)

If you really did gain weight, you'll lose it in no time once you're back on track.

Here's to reality
YES! 9 lbs!!! It surprised me to be honest. I was thinking more like 4 or 5. I shared absolutely everything either with my kids, Ruben or even with Callie during the mini meet. And we walked to and from the HoJo each day in addition to all the park walking.

Oh well. It just goes to show how easy it is to gain and how hard it is to lose. But I'm ready to get back on track!! :yay:

It will come off quick! I'm scared about my weight gain when I go in 11 days!
:rotfl: All I can say is good luck!!! :rotfl:

Welcome back!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I just want to congratulate you on getting on that scale. As for me, I usually avoid it after vacations, telling myself that I'll wait until I lose a couple of those pounds first. Of course, rather than losing the pounds, I usually just keep staying off the scale and end up gaining a few more. It really shows your commitment and honesty with yourself to "face the music." Heck, it's a vacation! I hope you had a GREAT time. I loved the pictures that were posted and you look fabulous!

I'm having a rough morning. No one put on the alarm clock this morning and our internal alarms didn't seem to go off either. Usually I can count on one of the kid to be up by 6:45am and no one got up until 7:30am. It was a mad dash to get the kids to school on time and I am tired after having to hold down the fort by myself all weekend while the DH was playing poker with the buddies in Reno. Let's just say I'm having a hard time showing him any sympathy for being tired now.

Work is...well...there's no point going into it, but let's just say it's stressful and I basically am fighting for my job right now as we're going through a merger. Send pixie dust fast. :wizard:

QUOTE OF THE DAY
When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it.
Henry Ford

Have a GREAT week everyone! :cool1:
I'm sorry about the mad rush for school. We've done that more then once and it starts the day off in not the best way. Especially if you are already tired.
I'm also so sorry about your work situation. I'll be thinking good thoughts for you that it all works out. :wizard:

Have a great day everyone!! Our fridge is empty so I'm off to buy some healthy items before I am tempted to dig into the more then 25 pounds of candy we got from the MToT party!! See ya!

Welcome back Beth! Hope you had a wonderful time, and I'm sure you'll get back on track in no time!:thumbsup2 How were the crowds?

Jen - sending pixie dust your way for your job!:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

I'm doing pretty good. I've lost about 10 pounds so far. I went for a long walk yesterday with my friend that came on the ladies trip with me (Cathy). It was such a beautiful day here yesterday that we just had to get out and enjoy it. Today, well, it's cold, cloudy, and windy. Burrrrrrrrr.

I've been going through lots of family drama the past few days (not my family, but my brother's family). I feel completely drained by it all. Ugh!:sad2:

I hope we all have a good Monday.:grouphug:

Congrats on those 10lbs!!! It's an awesome feeling, reaching your first milestone.

Sorry about all the family drama, it is very draining and upsetting. I remember it all too well when my cousin got pregnant. Oi vay, that was quite the issue.:headache:

The crowds weren't too bad at first. Tues, Wed, and Thurs were low crowds, but Fri and Sat it was a mess!

I am sorry about the family drama. It's always something with family, isn't it?? Congrats on the 10 lbs though. :thumbsup2

I weighed myself already. After being on vacation for 8 days, I have gained 9 pounds!!!!!

I went from 217 the day we left, to 226 today. But hey, what's done is done and I am itching to get back on track and drop that weight!! So time to get serious again.

OMG! The same thing happened to me! I've NEVER gained so much on a Disneyland trip, but then again, I don't think I've ever eaten as much either! :rolleyes1

Seriously?? I didn't see you eat a bite!! :rotfl:

Just wait until March.....:rolleyes1 I'm already drooling over the thought of going back for more Loaded Baked Potato soup. Mmmmmm!

OK, I'd better hush up now, this really isn't helping me get back on track.

Good morning, ladies!
Beth, good job on getting back on track. I am sure that 9 pounds will come off quick!

Capri, congrats on losing 10 pounds....wanna rub off some of that weight loss pixie dust on me?:flower3: :rotfl: I REALLY need it!

Does anyone have this problem:

You are doing fabulous all day. You get your exercise in and keeping track of water and food intake....then night approaches and it all goes down hill.:sad2:
This is my problem. I eat right all day, walk at the track, drinking all my water...I come home and that is when I start blowing it.

Any advice?

Thanks! Talk to you all later!

Yup, I have some advice....don't go home! No really! If you run errands or go to the park or the mall or a friends house you won't be home and tempted to eat. The later I get home the better!

I have some good news! After 10 days of pigging out I was completely on track yesterday! Got my water, vitamin and even my exercise in as well as eating in my points. Today is starting off well also! I am hoping for another on plan day. It really helps that heather and I are working out together this week! I don't know if I would have gone to the gym yesterday if I didn't know she was planning on meeting me there! She is trying to get in better shape to keep up with me during our disney trip! I am really excited to be back on track...I was feeling pretty low there for a while!

Congrats to all who are on track...and to those who aren't, just keep trying, eventually it will happen!

Ugh, getting back on track is proving to be harder then I thought. And for exactly the reason you posted. I did great all day long. Then at night, I blew it. So frustrating to know you did so good all day and then throw it all away at night.

So I don't have any advice since I am dealing with the same issue. Just know you aren't alone in this particular struggle.

I need to read that. Thanks for posting it.

Work's just crazy today, so I'm just dropping by for a moment.

My running isn't going too well. Tried to get back on the road yesterday, but felt lots of aches and pains where they shouldn't have been. I guess there's some reasoning behind trainer's guidance to dial down in my exercise program for three weeks. Hopefully, all will be well with a little rest.

And for the QUOTE OF THE DAY:
Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation leans on the doorbell.
-Author unknown

Resist those temptations ladies. And go drink your water!

Good morning ladies!

I'm muddling through the week. I've been on a workout schedule where I was pushing myself to constantly do a little more and improve, so it's very strange to be purposely doing less this week. It kind of has me in a funk. That and the stress at work. But I will follow advice of my trainer, trusting that he knows better than I.

Here's the QUOTE OF THE DAY. It's a little different, but I like it.

The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.
Don't go back to sleep.
You must ask for what you really want.
Don't go back to sleep.
People are going back and forth across the doorsill where two worlds touch. The round door is open.
Don't go back to sleep.

-Djalal ad Din Rumi

Happy thoughts to you all! :wizard:

I love your quotes! Where do you find them all?

I'm in a funk too. At least you know the reason for your funk. I have no clue about mine. I suppose it's just the after vacation blues. :confused3 In any case it's not helping my eating. Yesterday was a rotten day. Hopefully today goes better food wise.

Good morning ladies!

This week is speeding by! I did my weight training yesterday and hope to get in some exercise (still TBD) today. I had a chipotle chicken salad bowl trying to limit the dressing for dinner last night, but I'm sure that was a BAD choice. Oh well. Am starting today with oatmeal and a banana! :thumbsup2

QUOTE OF THE DAY
Perfectionism is a dangerous state of mind in an imperfect world. The best way is to forget doubts and set about the task in hand... If you are doing your best, you will not have time to worry about failure.

Happy Thursday!

Hi, all!

I am still working on overcoming my late afternoon/evening eating habits. I hope that soon I will get over it. My DH went and bought my favorite ice cream, pistachio nut.:headache: I love the guy...but geez! 1/2 cup is a serving and that is too hard for me to just have that amount. So I just stay away....I am tempted though.

Today someone at work took my WW Smart Ones...so I have to eat school lunch. At least it is pizza made with whole wheat dough and low-fat cheese or else I would be using pretty much all my points.

I hope you all are having a great morning/afternoon.
