Disneyland Divas working out, getting healthy, and looking fine in '09!!

Cristabel! Great job!

By the way--how is your Dad?

Cheryl

He's doing well. He's starting to feel more and more like himself. Because of the trauma to his thyroid, he's gained a bit of weight but it's nothing that he can't lose if he would just eat every few hours. He goes to the gym when he can so he does get exercise in during the week.

I also agree about how pretty you are! I would say the prettiest on our dw trip!

Sharing a room with the 2 of you would be sooooo cool! That might make it doable for me....hmmmm. What thread should I look for to find the details? Now you have me thinking and when it comes to dl that usually means a trip! Agggkk....now I am so excited about the possibility I can hardly stand it!

Now the 3 of us have to really get on the ball....it would make sharing those beds a little easier...or are we staying somewhere with a day bed possibility...oh now listen to me...I am starting to ramble.
Sarah
:rotfl2: I think we've got her!!!

Come on, you know you wanna! If you have any questions, just ask.

Not only did I fall off the bandwagon, I think I jumped, ran, and hid in a ditch from it. I'm ready to get back on though...I think.... I really want to get healthy, but I'm having a really hard time lately! I think I need to start with smaller steps instead of leaping and bounding.

Yay for January joining us!!!

Here's my quote from the past two weeks:
"For a long, happy life, eat whatever you want and don't worry about it. A waist is a terrible thing to mind." -Shrunken Ned (Jungle Witch Doctor)
;)
I'm sorry to hear that, BUT you're here right? It's always hard in the beginning. These are hard habits we are all working to change, it's going to take time.

Pick a goal. A small one. Take what ever you weigh, and say your first goal is simply to lose 5 lbs. That's it. 5 little pounds. Don't put any pressure on yourself beyond that, just focus on that first goal.

Then once you make that, you can see what you'd like your second goal to be and go from there. One step at a time, one day at a time. Don't worry about what you did for those two weeks. And don't worry about what your going to do for the next two weeks. Focus on each day, each meal, each bite you take. It will work. I promise you.

And we are all here for whatever help you need. :)

Welcome back!

As for the quote :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

I'll propose a wiser quote to help us on our way ;)

Cristabel: Glad your dad is doing well and those shoes are running!

Have a great rest of the day/evening ladies! :dance3:

So I started going back to my WW meetings last week, and this week was my first weigh in. I lost .9lbs. Not a huge loss, but still a loss. And to think....I had a muffin from Main St bakery, and DBF and I each had a chimichanga while watching "Stellar" perform. This week is bound to be better.

OK, so I didn't have the best day today. Tomorrow is a new day though! I've started doing my walking again, even if it means that I literally have to roll out of bed and crawl to my dresser. Seeing how excited my dog gets when I wake up early and start getting dressed is motivation enough for me! My dog gets SO excited that I end up tripping on him a few times before I can get out the door with him. So I was 212 when I started here and I'm 209 now. From now on, it's baby steps for me! Thanks for helping me along the way girls!

...but, if I go to Vegas I'm totally going to Beth's for dessert. ;)

Great job to everyone who has been losing, or is trying to lose weight, you all are an inspiration to me! :flower3:

I can't believe weigh in is tomorrow already! This week has flown by. I am hoping for a 3 lb loss this week, just so I will only have 2 lbs a week to lose for the next 3 weeks to meet my goal of 249 by Sept 12.

Also, I just decided to join the ladies on the ladies only trip to dl! I am so pumped...at least now I have another reason for not minding the overtime!

Drink water and have a great on track day today! Can't wait to hear everyone's results tomorrow! :dance3: (my ds picked out that smile!)

Hi Ladies!

Happy Thursday! Here's a quote for the day to ponder...

Aim for success, not perfection. Never give up your right to be wrong, because then you will lose the ability to learn new things and move forward with your life. Remember that fear always lurks behind perfectionism. Confronting your fears and allowing yourself the right to be human can, paradoxically, make yourself a happier and more productive person.- Dr. David M. Burns

Today is my last training run and then I take a few days off before Sunday's 10K. Oh, I wanted to be further along than I am in my training and I must admit I'm feeling a tinge of nervousness today. Just got to get through my first 10k...just reach the end, however long it takes.

Later gaters.

Good morning ladies,

Just checking in with everyone. This morning I took my baby to kindergarten roundup at the school. (It's a time when the teachers observe them interacting, doing projects, playing, etc, to help determine their level of readiness/development/placement.) Off he went, marching in line behind the teachers......with a perma grin on his face. He was so excited! Meanwhile, I'm watching my baby.......MY BABY!.......marching off to "big-boy-not-a-baby-anymore" kindergarten, and he didn't even look back. Whaaaaa!

I'm still not quite on the healthy eating program, but I'm getting better. I've been doing some walking as well, my DDR, and I know I've said this before, but I swear, vacuuming is a great exercise. I'm actually sore from all the vacuuming I did at my parents yesterday, and I did A LOT of vacuuming! I had sweat dripping off my face.

I sent my DS off to his day before last day of preschool this morning with some "I'm about to leave for kindergarten" cookies (and, no, I didn't eat any of them ;) ) He starts kindergarten next Tuesday. I'm feeling all emotional about it...these kids grow SO fast! I was looking through photos of Max when he started preschool and then his pictures now...wow, he's getting to be such a big guy and just getting bigger.

Good luck with this transition! I'm going through it here as well.

And keep up the power vacumming! :woohoo:

Hey good for you going back to your meetings! And congrats on the loss. Any loss is a good thing!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Good for you!!! Baby steps is all it takes. Look at is this way, the time is passing by anyway. So even if all you do is lose one pound a week, by the time Christmas is here you'll have lost over 15 lbs! Without even much effort. And if you lose more then one pound a week, well, then that's even better right? :cheer2:

I'm so GLAD you are joining us on the trip!!!

This week has flown by. I'm afraid I'm going to be a samer this week. I doubt I lost much if any, but we'll see.

I can't imagine how it will feel to have my children go off to kindergarten. I still have 2 years till my oldest goes to school. I get teary just thinking about it!

I did so so today. My mother works at the same place I do but in a different building and she came by and offered to pick me up some lunch at the place where she was getting lunch. I said ok knowing I had a fairly low point dinner planned. She got me a teriyaki chicken rice bowl. I meant to eat 1/2 of it but then I got started telling my co workers about the disney trip and before I knew it every bit of the food was gone! I had the chili I had planned for dinner but I didn't make the corn bread muffins. I did have a ww ice cream bar though. I think I am still close to my points for the day and I know overall for the week that I am within my points, but it is not how I was planning on going into the weigh in tomorrow. Well, tomorrow is another day. I can do this one choice at a time. I am in charge of how this story will be written.

Good luck to all of you and I will "see" you in the morning!

YUm, chimis!! Good job getting back on WW. I do weight watchers online. I prefer meetings...I just don't have time. Congrats on the .9!:cool1:

I will be a wreck when my DD starts school. My mom tells me graduation comes quick once they start school.:sad2:

You go girl with the vacuuming!

It doesn't sound like you did bad. I mean you could have done a lot worse! Do you eat all your target points in a day. I am alotted 25 and I eat all of them everyday. Just curious.:)

Good morning, ladies!
My weigh-in is not until Moday...but I thought I would weigh-in Fridays. I am down 1 pound this week so far. Hopefully I will lose more next week. But I am happy with one pound!:cool1:

Have a good day!

Oh please! I am allotted 31 and I eat them all everyday and sometimes have some of my "bonus" points too. And ya know what?! I lost 3 lbs this week! Woo Hoo:cool1: I am at 255...hey, could you check and make sure I am doing the right number of points? I am just doing ww from what I can remember from doing it a couple years ago...I though it was 31 for 250-275, then 29 for 225-249...is this correct?

Congrats on the 1 lb down since monday! For 4 days that is great! Keep up the great work!

Sarah

:wishten :
Now if I can just figure out how to get it in my signiture line I will be set!

10 pounds!! That's 2 sacks of potatoes you don't have to carry around with you anymore! WOOHOO! Great job! :woohoo:

Now for the QUOTE OF THE DAY:
"Feeling grateful or appreciative of someone or something in your life actually attracts more of the things that you appreciate and value into your life."
Christiane, Northrup

And I'm grateful that I got my exercise back on track this week and am feeling healthy again. I did not lose anything, but didn't gain either. And honestly, I was a bit suspicious of my 2 lb. loss last week. So here's to be moving again and to be first 10k in two days!

Happy Friday Ladies!

You know how to edit your sig right? Like when you put your ticker in? Just go to Quick Links, click on Edit Sig, then on the side where the smilies are click on (More) down at the bottom, another page with more smilies will pop up and scroll down to where they have the WISH banners and click on it.

It's basically just another smilie. All you have to do is click on it and it will show up in your post or sig, where ever your cursor is. Hope that helps!

Congrats to those who lost or maintained!!! :cool1:  :yay: Good job!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I unfortunately gained. :sad2: I am so bummed. I was hoping to break into the 220's and instead I am going back up!!!!!!

I went from 230.2 back to 231.8 so I am up 1.6 lbs.

Oh well. I'm not giving up. I'm not going to let it get to me. Just keep on keeping on and aim for a better weigh in next Friday.

I'm seriously too scared to weigh in.:scared1:

Beth - keep up the good work and the great attitude! You've already lost quite a bit......don't let a little pound and a half get your down AT ALL!:cheer2:

Sarah - WOW, you're doing great! Way to go!:cool1:

Jen - Love your quotes! Good luck in the 10k!

January - Yay, you lost a pound, and it's not even Monday yet!:yay:

As far as my baby going to kindergarten......he really is "the baby" in our family. We're not having anymore babies, so he's it for us. (sniffle-sigh):sad1: (Not that we can't have another baby. We're just getting too old.....and poor.;) )

And did I ever mention, I HATE VACUUMING! It is my least favorite chore. I know many love it and find it therapeutic (gag), but me......hate it!:goodvibes
