If you buy the disneyland dining plan that comes with the vouchers for the character meals does the vouchers cover tax and tip? Thank you for your help! Also what are your thoughts on the dl dining plan?

Most people on here will tell you not to get it...but here is my two cents...
To answer your question...Yes..the character meal vouchers include tax and tip if they are used at character meals.
Each voucher comes with a $ value so you can use the CM vouchers for other table service restaurants like Blue Bayou and Carthay Circle.

The dining plan will come with CM vouchers valued at $33 for adults, $15 and $5. The amount you get depends on the #of days you have chosen. The reason why people do not like the DL DP is because you could lose $ with the vouchers. If you purchase a meal that costs $12 and use a $15 voucher, you will not get change back and will lose $2. If you know this going in, you should be okay using the DP.

We purchased it for a trip back in April because we wanted to do CM's and TS and wanted to pre-pay. I always made sure when we used asnack voucher, we bought a bottle of water as well and paid the difference. For a QS meal for my family of 3, we would use a $15 voucher with a $5 voucher and paid the few $ difference. You can use any denomination of voucher anywhere they are accepted...just make sure you don't under purchase.
