Hey guys!

I LOVE characters and was excited as before Aulani next year I might get a special stop at Walts park and that makes me super excited!

I also usually read Kenny the pirate but he seems not too knowledgeable as characters are sporadic there!

My question to you guys who are my Disneyland pros is who am I most likely to meet in Walts park?

Do they have any designated meet or greets for the characters?

Also how's photopass in Disneyland? Worth it?? I LOVE me some DISNEY world photopass.

Thanks everyone so much !

Photopass + is worth it if you enjoy getting pictures and plan a multi day trip. It's especially beneficial if you go to a character meal and ride rides with pictures like Space or Splash.

Some characters have specific greets and some characters meet along Main Street or other areas of the park. Mickey and Minnie have meets at their houses and Pluto and Goofy are also found around Toon Town. The Princesses and Tinkerbell each have their own area to meet just outside the hub. Pooh and friends meet by Splash Mountain and the Pooh ride. Anna and Elsa have a greet in Hollywood land as does Olaf, both of those use a type of FP. The others are all non FP. If you have a Disney Visa you can meet Daisy and Stitch at the special M&G there. Donald is often found in the Gazeebo on the Pier and the Toy Story characters have a designated area on the other side of the pier. You can find Monsters and Incredibles and Disney Jr. characters around Hollywood land too. And Flick is often in Bugsland. of course Lightning McQueen and Mater meet in Carsland and you can also see Red and DJ there.

There are 5 character meals that have varying characters, most of which can also be found in the parks. Minnie's breakfast and the Critter breakfast tend to have unique characters you cannot find around the park.

Rapunzel and Belle are not currently performing, only an Anna and Elsa show. Hopefully they will return by next year. They did meet after their shows, but the sisters do not meet after their's.

Agamble thanks so much for your information!!!!!

I'm so sad they took the marvel meet and greets away those seemed really cool to have!

I'm still guessing the meets are sporadic right? Not structured like DISNEY world.

Also if I can bother you are there any in California adventure??

Hmm...let me see. The greets are not all sporadic no. Most of the ones I mentioned are listed on the times guide and are specific times and locations. The meets at Town Square are sporadic as are those at the front of DCA and the Monster's Inc and Incredibles at Hollywood. As to which park they meet in here's the original list split up:

Disneyland
Mickey and Minnie have meets at their houses and Pluto and Goofy are also found around Toon Town. The Princesses and Tinkerbell each have their own area to meet just outside the hub. Pooh and friends meet by Splash Mountain and the Pooh ride.

DCA
Anna and Elsa have a greet in Hollywood land as does Olaf, both of those use a type of FP. The others are all non FP. If you have a Disney Visa you can meet Daisy and Stitch at the special M&G there. Awesome! I can't wait to see Mickey as it appears outside your luck with the Disney Chase Visa meet that's the only place now to see him in his "normal" attire!

I've gotten pics with Mickey in his tux twice this month just by hanging out near the flagpole and following him to his greet spot when it comes out. Last month the Visa greet was Stitch and Minnie.

Huh? Confused by this. You don't get to see Mickey at the Visa Meet and Greet and Disneyland. The characters are currently Daisy and Stitch, previously Stitch and Minnie, before that Pluto and Chip & Dale for years. You can see Mickey in his regular clothes at Main Street and also when walking into Toon Town when it opens. It's only in his movie barn, Buena Vista Street, and during special events (like Halloween) that I've seen him in other clothes.

I meant at Disney world here at our Visa is the only place here he is in his normal attire otherwise he's in different type of outfits

For characters that meet around Town Square, do they only meet during the morning/early afternoon or are they typically out through later in the day? Thanks!

They meet until about 5pm, sometimes 5:45 in the summer. They are not out all day, they cycle on and off stage so there may be times between sets when there are no characters. They also leave for parades. I have seen 1-2 out later if the park isn't busy, usually under the lit awnings on Main St. PFF is basically the only night time greet, everything else is outdoors right now.

Captain America and Thor have resumed meeting guests in Tomorrowland (assuming it's going to continue and it wasn't just for the Memorial Day weekend), but not in Innoventions anymore. They're outside, next to the hat shop under the old Peoplemover platform (across the walkway from Innoventions).

Yes and no. The fixed meet and greets (like Princess Fantasy Faire, Tinkerbell, Winnie the Pooh and friends, Toontown houses) are still still and are similar to the fixed meet and greet locations in WDW. There just happens to be a lot more "sporadic" chances to meet characters (like the Stormtroopers walking through Tomorrowland or Captain Hook wandering through Fantasyland). There are also often characters just inside the ticket turnstiles to DL (we saw Belle, Snow White, Ariel, and Mulan there during the weekend - usually one at a time).

Also if I can bother you are there any in California adventure??
Mickey and friends are often meeting guests on Buena Vista Street (random which characters you'll see), and Oswald meets at the start of Buena Vista Street.

Thank you, that's helpful to know!

How are the lines for characters there??????

I wanna see

Mickey Minnie Goofy Donald
Captain America and Thor

Only because you can't see the fab 4 in The Magic Kingdom without that awful magician attire...

I believe there is now one line to meet both Thor and Captain America - the time might be on Mouse Wait.

For the others in my experience during the summer it is rare to not see a few of them in Main Street in DL and in Buena Vista in DCA (in 20's attire). In DCA Minnie is also in an aviator outfit closer to Soaring (by a plane) - not sure if that changed with the new refurb stuff over there.

These non-structured meet and greets all have a cast member who "closes" the line when the character has to go back for a break - so the lines are usually never very long - but sometimes you miss out because the line is closed. Donald come out the least in my experience. But I have seen him on Main Street - and would just ask at City Hall if they have a 30 minute window. I have never seen him in DCA but I think others have.

I hope that is helpful!

I saw Donald today in a gazebo on Paradise Pier. We found Goofy yesterday with Pluto at the opening of ToonTown and today at the hub in DCA.
