For me anniversary day is more about any special characters, cavalcades etc.

Good point. Perhaps I'll consider LLPP for the day after since the actual anniversary day may be not be focused on rides.

They released some 70th merchandise at D23 last August. After the convention, it was sold in DTD for a short time. My guess is that they will slowly roll out 70th merchandise throughout the year.

I suspect they will start selling in early 2025 to start the marketing campaign.

For (what I remember to be) the entire year of the 60th anniversary, there were signs outside of security every morning with a word of the day you could text to a number and win a prize. My 8 year old and I were there for a girls’ trip and we won a VIP tour of the parks. As we were getting on our first ride of the day (RSR), someone called and gave me the news. We went to guest services where our VIP guide was waiting for us. They also gave us $100 in food vouchers for each of us, including my husband who called in sick to work and raced up from San Diego to join us on the tour. It was awesome.

Maybe they will do something similar for the 70th anniversary. One can dream…

I'd love to, but not sure i can... My busy time for work is April - Sept, so I don't usually take much time off... but I do have some VGC points that I could use, so you never know. lol

From Australia, sadly no. I have a huge 5 week trip booked and mostly paid for at this stage.
No date changes for me.

I'm sorry but to me this is a joke the attraction will be down for like 15+ months

You want to bring the pass Walt did to the parks you work on it 24/7 until its ready for the 70th

Walt would not start this event without out and if you as Disney show you can't then don't use Walt. That man built the park within 2 years...the entire park

I totally agree with you. It is mind boggling that it is taking so long. How long could it take to build a computerized AA and to renovate the Opera House?
