We are WDWers going to Disneyland for the first time right after Xmas (Dec 26-31). We plan to do park days for 3 days. I’m set on getting lightning lane multi pass.

Do you also recommend hoppers? I never do hoppers at WDW but the proximity at DL makes it tempting. I also don’t want to feel overwhelmed for the first trip running between two parks I don’t really know.

My plan was DL, DCA, DL with rope drops each day.
I know some of this is preference but looking for any input that can help make the call. Cost isn’t the big issue, but I don’t wanna pay for hoppers and not need them.

Thanks

I do absolutely recommend hoppers for DLR, especially if you are just adults. You can basically treat the place a sone big park! You don't have to bounce between them too much, but it gives you options.

I also recommend that you ask the mods to move this to the Disneyland forum. This board is more WDW only, so if you want DLR tips, you will get more over there.

Definitely get the PH. As others have said, the parks are so close! As a DLR'er that went to WDW a few years ago, I kept thinking, "Ugh! Why in the world do the parks have to be sooooo far away?!?" On the same trip, I was shocked about the walk between attractions as WDW; DLR attractions are very close to each other. We find it much less taxing walking around DLR since everything is so close, so it's much more reasonable to park hop.

Be aware that LLMP isn't as extensive as it is at WDW-- we don't have it on nearly as many attractions, which can be a big shock to some people.

I think doing DL, DCA, DL is a perfect plan!

Getting parkhoppers is worth it because the parks are so close together. If multiple rides are down in one park, you can go to other. It also gives you more flexibility for nighttime shows. You can always do a morning in one park, and then go to the other park in the afternoon.
