I am so excited about doing the 5k on Saturday with my DH and DD, also my friends from DC are flying in to do the 5k, my girlfriend was so inspired by the Princess 1/2 marathon I did she is going to do the 1/2 as well. I am currently booked off disney property but that could always change.

Is anyone else from Salt Lake City doing either the 5k or 1/2? and looking for a partner?

The Princess was my very first so I think this time I will dress up just a little!

I and my Dearest Mother will be there. We're both doing the 5k and I'm doing the Half.

I did the Coast to Coast last year and loved it, good luck to all the folks doing it this year.

I do wonder if the field size is smaller this year (perhaps due to the construction?) for it to sell out so fast... perhaps they'll consider adding another West Coast event to the calendar

I don't know if the field size is smaller or if it is a C2C effect. There are now three halfs in WDW and only this one in DLR so anyone that wants to do the Coast to Coast Challenge HAS to do the DL 1/2. I did the Princess last month and was planning to do DL but waited a day too long and am waitlisted Still hoping for some pixie dust and getting in This was going to be my first time to DL so I am not giving up hope yet!

They might be! There's talk that Run Disney is announcing another race next month some time. Hopefully it'll be in DL rather than WDW, although there has been some thought they might do an international one in Tokyo or Paris. But I'm hoping it's here. I love the races, but it's so expensive to get out to WDW.

I just called GET Travel to book my hotel and the voice message seemed to indicate that they might have some slots for people booking hotels. You might want to give them a call (888) 877-4445, ext. 105.

My DH is running the half and myself, DH and 3 kids are running the 5k.

It is going to be our first DL run, my kids first 5k, and our first time to DL ever.

I can't wait !! We'll be there from Aug 31st to September 4th. It's probably been our most expensive Disney trip to date with just the airfare alone !

Sarah - I'm very envious! That's the last on-site hotel I want to try someday.

You can come check out our room. I hear it smells like suntan lotion in the lobby.

We are going to do the Character Breakfast at the hotel on Monday. I don't remember the name of it. I want to do the one in the park but my aunt's only buying a 1 day ticket (for Sunday). Is there other Character breasfasts at the other hotels? Which is the best?

Okay, I couldn't wait anymore, add me to the list for the 5K! I was hoping to be able to wait it out for the theme and course, but it jumped up to 90% today!! Everyone's crazy for the Disneyland this year. This just shows that they have to add another DL race. (please, please if you're reading this run disney)

I can't believe how fast this year's sold out either. Faster than the previous 4 years that I've done them. Usually we have until at least June to decide.

My sister and I will also be running the 1/2 marathon in Disneyland. We just completed the Princess 1/2 in WDW and although I thought it was my first and last road race.....I am hooked. And my sister won her age group of 60-64 which made the weekend even sweeter.

Hi everyone!

I am going to register for the 5K hopefully it's still open. This will be my first Disney race and my second 5k. I did a local 5k but had to walk most of it as I am out of shape. No plans for hotel and such yet. Not sure where I will be working/living in September. Probably just the weekend. Longer if I'm able to.
