I forget if it was for Tink or DL, but did you go into the park on Sat. and see all the little kids w/ their kids races medals on? They were the cutest thing ever.

Since my sister is now signed up to run Tink with me (she wanted to last year but had just gotten pregnant) we are signing Violet up for the Diaper Dash! She'll be 10 months by then. She'll get a shirt and medal too and it's only $20 for the kids.

Oh, if I had known that the 5K was going to be themed to Star Tours, I would have done the 5K last year instead of the 1/2 since it was my first race and I don't know how I would fare.

Based on last year's 5K being themed to last summer's biggest attraction, I will be shocked if this year's isn't themed to Cars.

I cannot wait until the 5k Saturday morning. I'm going down Friday race weekend, but decided I'm not going anywhere near Cars Land so when we run down Rte 66 I can be in total awe. I remember running around it last year and thinking it was huge and that was just from the outside. I can only imagine what it'll be like when you're running inside it.

So I'm trying to make all of our travel arrangements for the DL half, and need a little advice-- we have a flight out of LAX at 6:30am on Monday (Labor Day). What's the best way/service to get from the Disneyland Hotel to LAX that early? I was reading some reviews about super shuttle and heard lots of sketchy things, but the fact that they come to the hotel and pick us up with plenty of time is appealing... Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I've used them twice this year and didn't have any big problems. They were a little late the last time, but like you pointed out they pick you up so early that you have plenty of time. When you make resies, they give you a suggested time, but you have a few options for early times if it makes you feel better. And w/ Mon being a holiday, traffic won't be as bad as a regular Mon.

Good to know- thanks for the info. I think we will go ahead and reserve a time with them. We are taking the Disneyland Express to get from the airport to the hotel as quickly as we can, but seeing as how the DL Express doesn't operate as early as we need, this seems to be the next best option.
