Disneyitis

Found this definition while cleaning up the filing cabinet.Care to add to the definition?
Disneyitis (Dis ney i' tis) n 1.condition related to the uncontrollable
desire to return to the World. Subjects with this condition are known to
frequent notefiles, web pages, and newsgroups. Only known relief is a trip
to Walt Disney World. There is no permanent cure....and no cure is being
researched as those afflicted don't WANT one! Has also been known to infect
Disneylanders. People who suffer from Disneyitis have also been known to
spend an unusual amount of time at their local Disney Stores to temporarily
relieve some of the symptoms associated with the disease. They will also
tape,watch,re-watch,and re-re watch Disney videos,specials,parades,vacation
planners,etc. Also will subscribe to Disney Magazine, and will read every
brochure on Disney they can get their hands on. They will sport hats, coats
jackets, pants, and carry bags with Disney logos. Can't go more than one
full year without going to the world without becoming suicidal,or worse,
Homicidal! And no matter how many vacation days they take, they always seem
to get ticked off at everything one or even two days before they have to
leave the world and go back to the rat race.

Oh no! I think I've got it. Today I started talking about a trip to WDW in May 03 and we haven't even gone on our trip this year.
That's what points and AP's will do. They must be the cause, everyone knows the cure!!

Oh my goodness! DH & DS knew I had something but couldn't put their finger on it 'til I read this to them! I thought I was a disney-a-holic but it definitely sounds more like Disneyitis!! LOL!

Disneyitis, mmm, I wondered what it was that I have. Now at least there is a name for it. I will know what to tell people who just think I am looney.

Right before I saw this post I was telling my DW how we should be thinking about using pts. for Disneyland trip after our Dis cruise next year which is after our Dec. trip to WLV ( first trip HOME).

As I read your your definiton I glanced down to the 100 years of magic logo on my shirt then I realized I am perusing the Disney boards at 8:30 am and realized I certainly am afflicted!

I hope that I will be forever infected with this disease. My mind and body are caught between this trip and future trips. I dream of a mouse making me ride past a pirate ship, shooting thru a star filled blackened sky, helping a space ranger protect a galaxy.
May I never wake to reality again.

I'm sure I have it too. Planning this trip I have gone from moderate to deluxe to conceirge to now contemplating dvc and we havent even gone on the trip yet, lol. I'm already trying to figure out when we will go next. I need to do the dvc to make sure dh takes me back soon, oh and the kids too.

As I sit here in my Mickey earrings, Mickey watch, and Gourmet Mickey apron (just finished making dinner), I see that my affliction is no longer a mystery. I love sharing these germs with others who understand. I just spent a weekend with friends, one of whom finally broke down and asked, "OK, so what's with the mouse earrings and watch? What's going on with you?" I tried to explain that I carry a little bit of the magic with me in between trips to the World, but I got a glazed-over look. But all of you understand.

Too bad they don't quarantine people like us in Cinderella's Castle.
