Over the last almost 20 years we have been able to go to WDW an average of 3 times per year. Some of those trips were a couple of days and the longest was 3 weeks last Spring. Our upcoming F&W trip will be the longest yet at 4 weeks and then back in early December for a week.
Some of the trips were business with a stop at Disney, a few we stayed with my sister at FW or in her house close by. We had relative in the airline industry so a lot of the airfare was either free or deeply discounted - only a couple of our trips were by car - a 1,200 mile trip. I know lots of people drive that far but it's not for us. Our daughter lives almost halfway so we could stay free there. Just takes too long. Or did when we were still working. We have been every month of the year except August, have stayed at almost every resort, including FW and SoG and Swolphin. We have never been to MNSSHP but we are going this trip. We have eaten at every restaurant we wanted to, most multiple times. We tried to count recently and we ate at R&C an estimated 20 times. I think that's my favorite. At least it's where I'm most comfortable
We have been very lucky. AND, we have done pretty much everything we have ever wanted to do at Disney. Sometime we have gone to Sea World and Universal, but no much. Our trips always revolve around Disney.
We are very much looking forward to our F&W trip. We have been to F&W six times already but we're ready for some more. We missed it last year.
Friends keep asking us if we're Disneyed out. My answer is, "Not yet!" But I may be getting close. The next couple of trips will tell. We have no Disney plans past December. That is not unusual though because we very often make plans only 3-4 months or so out. We may even take 2014 off. But that's easier said than done.
Regardless, I'm not Disneyed out and have no plans to be. Even though we haven't slowed down yet, we're getting close to 70. That may be a factor in the future. We'll see. Just finished a trip where we hiked an average of 10 miles a day!
Is anyone else getting close to the edge here?
