ok so how far can you go disneybounding inside the park I've seen some pictures of people full out cosplaying and some just simple outfits.

i wanna know the rules how close to the character you can get without disney rejecting your admission into the parks. also ay tips?

Just don't claim to be the character, don't sign autograph books. No masks either.

Bsically, it seems to be that if a Guest might mistake you for the real character.....no go.

So make sure that your bounding gives any Disney fan the knowledge of who you are....but the nonDisney fans won't have a clue. My understanding that this was what the bounding was all about anyway....not to be authentically dressed, but to be able to go to nonDisney venues (like work or school) and only fans would know that you were really a Disney character in disguise.

Do you have pictures of your outfits? Love seeing the creative ways people come up with.

ok I've just seen photos of some that were scary similar to the character they were dressing as taking photos with the only differences the colors may not have been exact same shades

i will try to get a picture up of the stuff, not sure if ill simply lay out the clothes or wear them not a huge fan of my reflection lol

Can you share the photos that were "scary similar"....and was it during the Halloween party (when they DO allow adults to wear realistic looking costumes)?

During our trip this past week the only instance that really stood out to me and my gf was when we saw two women dressed as snow white and elsa but with a much more risque style (i.e skirt above the thigh and high heels) . At first I though they were cast members from a distance until they got closer into view.

im not sure if it was halloween or not but these are seriously elaborate costumes that id envy the talent to create one like these:IMG_2296.jpgIMG_2297.jpgIMG_2298.jpgIMG_2299.jpg

this is what I've got (I'm gonna see if I'm on topic by not saying who I'm disneybounding) its just simple still needs a few more idk personal touches i feel!rsz_1rsz_img_2300.jpg

Could that possibly be a peter pan bound? You'll be fine in that :)

You should add a bottle of pixie dust necklace for a finishing touch!

I think the reason those bounding were allowed is that they are semi-regular clothing.....as bounding is supposed to be to my understanding of it. Yes, they did an excellent job, and yes my first thought on yours was Peter Pan (and I agree, add a Pixie Dust Bottle....maybe even a small tink figurine on your hat?). Bounding done correctly should tell me who you are, but not in the Disney Official Character way. Kristoff in your post certainly came close, but that's the idea...close using regular clothes. The bounding is definitely getting better over the years, but if you look at Peter here

you give the impression of him certainly, but I doubt any child is going to run up to you thinking you are the "real" Peter Pan asking for an autograph. Many will notice that you are rocking your inner Pan!

I agree, thanks lol I tend to try and take things as far as I can go lol, love that ppl are seeing that it is Peter and I agree I need something like pixie dust or tink pendent or some other small key things to help build the image XD

(I know for Halloween I'm looking for a Peter costume that reflects the park version), but you're right Disneybounding needs to represent the character

That guy dressed as Kristoff is going to be miserable at WDW 90% of the time. There's only about 20 days out of the year where I'd be comfortable wearing something that heavy in Florida.

Also, doesn't that go past the limit of bounding and straight into costume?

I agree it is certainly stretching it....but everything (except maybe the thing tied around his waist) is something that would be worn in your hometown (if your hometown is covered in snow right now, mine is not). Though if you look closely, the jacket doesn't look like it's a heavy material, just fur around the edges, so it may not be all that bad to wear for some who are always cold, lol. The gloves/mittens are a bit overkill for Florida, but if he had them in his pockets at the gate, CMs wouldn't realize it. I think a lot of it is what the gate CMs decide is just conciously chosen clothing and what is costume. As I said, bounding has definitely come a long way and at some point I fear it may cross that line....but thankfully it's easy to back up again if needed.

I guess. I think it screams of costume, but I live in Mississippi, and someone dressed like that, even a cold day, would stand out like a sore thumb.

But what do I know? I think the whole Disney bounding thing is weird. But we're all weird in some way! :jumping1:

I love how far it has come, though also it's intimating as I have no creativity in that area XD

Here is the actual rule:
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/faq/parks/recommended-dress/

The rule might or might not be fully enforced, depending on the circumstances. We went to Epcot on Halloween a few years back, and there were plenty of people in costume, including some very good Disney impressions.
Thanks for the link!!

We are all weird and honestly if I could I'd love to get a costume that fully reflects that if the park character as well as continue to work on my Disneybound outfit
