Disneyana Convention - Open to Public

My DH and I will be at WDW in early September. Just wondered if the Disneyana Convention was by registration only and closed to the public or if there are any displays that we might be able to see?

The final day of the Disneyana Convention is "Public Day" and is the only event that is open to the public. The rest of the convention is only open to those registered for the full convention.

Be aware that this year's Disneyana Convention is at Disneyland in California.

Darn, miss it by a couple of days. We are going on a cruise on the 10th and when we arrive back that Friday, we were planning on going to Disneyland. The convention would have been neat to go to.......

It looks like you need to get your tickets to public day before the actual event, which I find kind of strange.....

There is an answer for The Lion King. A "normal" Disneyana Convention (if there is such a thing) draws around a thousand people for public day. In recent years the limit for ConventionEars has been 1800. When you consider the number of Disney enthusiasts in the Los Angeles area, and they have not had a Disneyana Convention there since the "Convention From Hell" in 1993, they would be swamped. By requiring people to get their Public Day tickets in advance they will not have people showing up who can't get in. The term is crowd control. (JudySue and I have been to all ten Disneyana Conventions, so we have seen everything !!)

I remember being able to buy tickets onthe day itself the last two years
