I called and was told to do this also...however I forgot to take into account that the day of the class isn't until the 23rd and we planned on the first day in the park being the 13th which is 11 days differance. I've got to wait till tomorrow to call back to see if I screwed up:confused: Hopefully we can get the class changed to the wildlife one that is on the 15th.

What did you put as your arrival and departure dates? Your tickets are good 7 days prior to your ARRIVAL date and 7 days after your DEPARTURE date. Plus the premium package includes 5 (if I remember correctly) passes for the water parks and DisneyQuest. So ten day park hopper plus 5 passes equals possibly 15 fun filled days (unless you use passes on days that you are going to main parks also)!!!!:banana::banana:

Have an awesome time!!!

We'll be there the 13th through the 24th! What class did you sign up for?

We are doing the June 24th one at DHS. It's called Disney's Production Arts & Sciences and is for 6-10th grade. DS is going into 11th grade, but I am assuming that's okay.

On the receipt I got via email, the cost is broken down differently, like this--

7 Day Park Hopper YES 2 $173.12 $346.24
Registration Fee 1 $4.50 $4.50
Shipping & Handling 1 $10.00 $10.00
Total: $360.74
Date Payments Received

Balance due: $360.74

But on my receipt I got in the mail, it was broken down like this(but with codes):

7 Day Park Hopper 2X $294.24

Y.E.S Program 2X $52.00

Shipping and Handling $10.00

Total $356.24

Don't know why 1)It has me listed as getting 2 Y.E.S programs. DS is 15, so I only signed him up. And in the emailed receipt, that is right. (2)The final cost was also 4.50 less than the one I for in my email(Maybe there is no processing fee when you use a credit card??)

Anyway, there is nothing on the receipt or tickets I got that say what program we are doing, so be sure to print out your email receipt for that information. Tickets say Youth, but I have read on here that all tickets from Y.E.S say that.

I have never heard of this program! I would be even more excited if there was something for us during our May trip. Where can we find out about more classes after July?

I have a question for the pros! My friend is going in July and would like to sign her son up for the Wild by Nature Program. Her concern though is that he he is autistic (she will be with him) and occasionally has tough days. What does she do if she gets down there and he is having a tough day and they can't make it to the class?

I'm not a pro by any means, but I have seen people here discuss here how sickness kept them from their class unexpectedly and how there were no problems with it from Disney's side for them...
If you are concerned I would just call and confirm with the folk at the YES office! They have been wonderfully helpful with our group's questions.:goodvibes

Thanks! This is her first time taking her son and she is nervous! And I have never traveled with children so I don't have much advice!

I hadnt heard about this program before searching the boards. :thumbsup2

I am so glad that I did. Now we can go to Disneyland next month use our free ticket there for the quickie weekend we will be there.

Then use the tickets through Y.E.S. for our July trip :cool1:

My daughter is 7 and we will be doing the Ocean Discoveries program. I had to email to ask if it would be ok for her to participate since she will be in the 3rd grade after the summer. Sarah, said that it would be ok for her to participate under the circumstances since she will have completed the 2nd grade by then. Being the summertime and all :cutie:

All I know is that there will be one lucky girl that will be excited that she and I can leave Dad and brother behind and go off to have a good time learning about ocean life. Both of our children love to look at fish, etc. This is going to be great :cloud9:

Has anyone ever done this one before?

My son is also on the spectrum. I would suggest she does the first class of the day so he is fresh and ready to go. If they are unable to make it, I have yet to read of a monetary penalty regarding the park tickets, so she should be fine.

As far as re-scheduling, not sure how that works, especially if the class is filled. Remember, you ARE paying for the class though, so technically the monetary penalty would be losing that $52 (or whatever it costs).

Just wanted to add my thanks for the post...my husband and I along with another chaperone are going down on a school trip to WDW in June 2010 along with 6 high school students. We are going 6/11/10-6/17/10 and, I'm excited to say, were able to purchase our tickets yesterday...open enrollment saved us a BUNCH of money!! We are signed up for the Keepers of the Kingdom YES class on 6/17/10...can't wait!!

IVY :upsidedow

I just received our email confirmation of our order and as I read over it I thought this info might be useful to someone out there...?:goodvibes

So glad I found this thread!

We are planning a trip for June, my 15 yo son would love to take so many of the classes listed, also 2 grandchildren will be along, so in total we would need 5 tickets. I have 2 more family members who are considering a trip at the same time, but not yet sure-would we be able to add them on when we got there?

I just want to say a very big Thank You to whoever started this thread about the YES program. We received our tickets today (going in June) and we saved $473 on 4 - 7 day park hopper tickets. Would never have known about this if I had not read it here. My Granddaughter is very excited and we are thrilled with the savings!!

Does anybody know if your Y.E.S. tickets can be put on your KTTW card so we don't have to drag around paper tickets?

Just an fyi, in case anyone might have this same issue.

I called the number I found in the thread for Sarah and spoke with her. She told me that I should purchase the number of tickets I know that I will need and then if I need other tickets those can be done as add on's, but must be done so online and they can be picked up at the call window.

I know that a number of posters have mentioned there being no dates for August; we're planning a trip for August next year and wondering whether there's a possibility of there being dates then. I wonder--if enough of us ask for August dates next year, might they put some on the calendar? Is it worth asking the wonderful Sarah?

What you can do is start a yes group thread. There are a few floating around the boards now. Not sure what the dates are but I think it was on the family board.

nope, you have to drag them! Luckily they aren't too heavy, lol.:)

Ha ha!!:lmao: Unfortunately that requires me to be organized (and I guess I better start bodybuilding now!:cool1: ) in order to keep everyone's ticket ready for each park all day (we'll be getting hoppers and probably hopping between at least two parks each day.) Oh well, I guess I can handle it! Thanks for letting me know!

:)You are welcome. I keep all of our tickets, and just hand them out randomly at the turnstyles. They aren't linked to the person, so it is quick and painless. It makes it easy for the fp's, too.
