I have a question that I can't seem to figure out. My friends are going in January and this will be a great way to save money and do something different. They have more adults than children. They have 5 adults and 3 children. Can they purchase tickets for everyone? If not how many can they purchase?

I believe everyone can purchase the discounted tickets, even if the other adults don't go to the class, but I would call to be sure.

Thanks! I just want to make sure they only buy the right number of tickets! I don't want them to have to purchase tickets at the gate price!

I was able to purchase 3 tickets and I only have 1 child attending the program (my other child is free and under 3).

Now I'm concerned since the person that was to be coming along with me might not be coming and I'll be out the money for one ticket.

I would contact Sarah at YES. She should be able to work with you.

I emailed them and the email I got back said everyone in the party is eligible to purchase the discounted tickets, not just those going to the program!

That is correct. I have 4 adults and 3 kids and all got the discounted price.

ok, i just bought the tickets. 'argh. I am sure I somehow screwed them up. It is like that feeling when you press the bid button on priceline and wonder if you put in the right date. Thanks for the help.

Can someone tell me what the tickets look like? I can't remember giving names, so I assume you sign for them when you go in the first time?

They are cardstock tickets with a character on the front and "Celebrate Everyday" and "Walt Disney World" The back has a magnetic strip, nonrefundable, void if altered, revocable, admit one, agreement paragraph, place to sign, # day park hopper- YOUTH Valid dates, transaction info and a bar code. :rotfl2: More info than you wanted, right?:santa:

gerberdaisy, you are so helpful! I was trying to figure out how they know, going in, who's ticket is going to the programs? Dumb, huh!

I will be so happy when they arrive. I worry far too much!

lol, i suspect that checking my email 300 times in an hour isn't going to make them send the payment confirmation (have the other) any quicker!

This probably won't help but...I never received payment confirmation. The tickets came when I was about ready to call to confirm.

Hey everyone!
I just found this thread, and just found out today about the homeschool days coming up in a few weeks. We were planning to go to wdw later in the year, but with the homeschool days, we want to go, we've always wanted to do the homeschool days at wdw. BTW we are homeschoolers, 10yrs now :cool1:
I have a question about the tickets. We'd like to pick up the tickets at the will call window at one of the parks when we arrive b/c we just wouldn't trust that we'd recieve the tickets before we left. Have any of you picked up the tickets at the will-call group window before?

I never did either. I ordered on December 19th and only received my initial confirmation. I emailed them, it took a few days to get a response, and they said my tickets would be shipped out January 4th (today). I put in the comments to upgrade to 6 day tickets, I was charged more than my confirmation said, so I'm hoping they are correct.

I am picking mine up at DTD, but you will probably be getting yours around the same time, so that might not help.

So you can upgrade to get tickets for more than 5 days?

Do you know what the price difference is? (I would assume still cheaper than a regular ticket.)

Also, do they offer these programs at other times throughout the year?

I just spoke with a youth programs ticketing CM this morning because I had some questions about my order. The prices she quoted were: $195.73 for an 8 day premium (hopping and water parks), and $205.22 for a 10 day premium. (Apparently the 10 day tickets are not standard for them as she had to take my number and call me back after checking on them.) We opted for the 10 day tickets. We probably won't need that many days, but for only $10 more I'd rather have them and not need them than the other way around.

The webiste quoted me $173.68 for a 5 day premium ticket.

I didn't inquire about any other ticket configurations, sorry.

I read here on the DIS that they also offer the open enrollment Y.E.S. programs in September, but I haven't any firsthand experience with that. This will be the first time we have tried it. Both DD and I are looking forward to it. :goodvibes

ETA: Oh! And you do have to purchase the tickets you want in the beginning, when you initially register and order your tickets, as they are not upgradable later on. So you can't change your mind and upgrade them to add hopping while on vacation, or whatever. I hope that makes sense.

My tickets came today, they are 6 day hoppers just like I requested. I think my total was around $517 for all 3 tickets (at work now). Such an awesome deal! Thanks again OP!
