Disney YES Program Open to non-groups

Has someone actually been blacklisted? Or is that just a wild "a" guess?

It's been mentioned on this thread. I believe someone said that they got that response from the office but I could be wrong. If something came up it'd just be worth giving them a call. Mass quantities of cancellations could endanger the program for everyone.

Are these tickets non refundable? I though they were but then I thought I read somewhere that they were not.

According to my order receipt:

"Changes to your order must be made in writing via fax or email 48 hours prior to your arrival at the Will Call Window."

Further along:

"Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable."

When I placed my order online it asked for the primary contact's name and the participant's name and age. I don't know if they actually print these on the tickets. Not sure what kinds of changes they would allow 48 hours prior to pickup. Maybe if your days changed you could reschedule?

Can someone answer a few quick questions pretty please? :flower3:

I see a date in June that might be a possibility (if we go for it) but when I click on the link to purchase tickets it says "this event has ended". Does this mean it's full already or it's not accepting anything yet? On a few other June dates I get another message that says Open Enrollment is for Jan-Feb but I don't get the other message I did earlier about the event ending and it appears it would allow the the purchase to go through? I did read the majority of the 60 pages but I don't remember this so hopefully this will be an easy one for you helpful experts!! :thumbsup2

Has anyone signed up for a June class yet?

Thanks,
Heather

I got the same message and I'm hoping someone will chime in with an answer for us. I'm hoping June is not already full!

Also, forgive me if this has already been answered, but how long do you have to purchase tickets once you have signed up? Do you have to buy them right away or can I wait till after Christmas...for instance?! ;)

I got this message, too. I called the CM about it and he explained that it is a problem with the system. Some of the 2011 class signups are linking to the sign up for 2010 dates. The CM said that if you see the date on the main page, the class is not full. Once it is full, it no longer appears for viewing. He said he was going to forward a message to have the website fixed. To get around the problem, just click on another class (make sure you are looking at 2011 date) and go through the signup process. On the 2nd or 3rd page is a list of all the classes, and you select which date and program you want tickets for.

The last page of the sign up is for your credit card info, so I think you have to purchase them immediately.

You can go through the whole process until you get to the payment page. Once you fill in your CC information and submit it, your credit card will be charged, but it takes a few days for the actual charge to happen. I have gone through the process, except for the payment, many times just to see what my total cost would be.

Are they even registering for June? Last year, I thought they waited for the Jan/Feb open enrollment to be over before they started registration for summer. The email I got had a link to register for Jan/Feb, but for summer, there was only a link to browse the dates and offerings. I guess if they are registering, I need to figure out my dates before everything is gone.

Someone came to our rescue and answered the question :) I do believe you must pay immediately when you are ready to purchase them. I also wonder how soon they will disappear if we wait?

Thank you so much for this information and advising me of this! :cheer2: I appreciate it and I'll keep checking back. Now to decide - June or into Thanksgiving...hmm... :rotfl2:

If you're not familiar with the Homeschool Days program, it's a ton of fun. My kids go to it every winter/fall. The Individual Enrollment program is basically a chance to take a Y.E.S. program without being part of a group. There are some COOL programs! Even as an adult I find a lot of the subject material a LOT of fun!

does anyone know how often they have homeschool days? Is it usually just ince a year, or will more dates eventually be released?

does anyone know if there is a program for a kindergarten girl?
also what happens if you dont show up that day? We are leaving on the 23rd at night and really want to do this for our 8 yr old but what happens if something comes up that day and we cant make it? also is there a diffrence in adult/child pricing?
TIA

I have a Kindergarten girl as well and they do! The "How Things Move" is for ages 5 to 8 and the "Synergy in Science" is for ages 6 to 11.

I'm excited the range actually includes my son's age so I won't have to split them up and figure out what to do with him.

Question ... so am I understanding right that the room discount is only for homeschool days and you'd have to figure out your own room (or land a room only discount) if you're just doing individual enrollment? Are the vouchers only for quick service or is there a way to add some sort of dining plan? Does anyone know what the "to go" breakfast is if you book by November 15 (I saw it on the sign up page).

Thanks!

I believe twice a year. Typically in January and September, but the email I received stated October for 2011. I emailed Ashley about the change and got this response:
We do not have the final date nailed down but as soon as we do we will let you know. We will also let you know of the Individual Enrollment Programs running in September & October at that time.

in case anyone is wondering the presentation for the 24th can also be for preschoolers, my daughter is 5 and I put her age in and they told me she can do the one in animal kingdom "african cats"

I called and spoke to a CM on Friday and she told me that the most days you can order is 8 days, and the prices for 8 days would be $186.82 for park hoppers and $204.92 for premium. HOWEVER, I called again today and spoke to a different CM and he told me that you can request up to 10 day tickets. It's not guaranteed that you will get 10 days, but if they have them available they will try to honor your request. If you want more days than 7, you select the 7 day option and then write in the comments section (where you enter your credit card info) that you marked 7 days but really want "X" days. He said that all orders are reviewed prior to your credit card being charged, and a confirmation email is sent.

Based on this info, I ordered the 7 day tix and requested 9 days in the comments section. I received an email shortly thereafter confirming the order, but it shows 7 days. I'm hoping to receive something that confirms whether I have the 9 day tickets.

I received a phone call today from Disney about my tickets. The CM said they do not offer 9 day tickets, only 8 and 10 day. So I got the 10 day. She said she would have to call me back with the prices for 2011, but they would be around $200-$210.

Edited to add: 2011 price for 10 day Park Hopper is $193.71.

I know a lot of you are speaking about the YES program. Here are the HOMESCHOOL rates for January:

Sure, here is the pricing for the 8 and 10 day, we do not have a 9 day option. When you register just choose the 7 day ticket options then make a note in comments that you want to actually purchase the 8 or 10 day and quantity.

When you arrive for the presentation we will have you on our roster to check off, no need to show ID.

Thanks!
Heidi

I was wondering what the difference is, and this is what the CM said:

During Homeschool Days there is special presentation at one of the parks. The presentation is included in your ticket price. Your ticket DOES NOT include any of the YES classes. If you are interested in any of the classes, you have to purchase each class seperately for $26 per person.

Interesting. I thought someone previously had been told it included ONE class but you had to purchase additional classes.

I am just learning about this program today after reading about it here. I have a daughter who is in Kindergarden. Does that mean we cannot take advantage of this program?? It sounds like from what I read that you have to have a child in First grade at least. Is this true?
