Disney YES Program Open to non-groups

Hi all! I was wondering if anyone is doing a YES group Jan. 19 or 20 2011? Because of DH work schedule we have to go the week before hs days. We won't be flying down until the 18th. We have 2 9year olds and a 12 year old.
If no one has a group I would be intrested in starting one. Thanks:cool1:

What if we want to go in July, but my child does not turn 5 until August? Will they ask for proof of age and will she not be eligible if she isnt 5 yet?

We did program in August and there was another group setting out with younger children, I did not notice CMs asking them (or any in our group of older kids) for proof of age. Our class was not for children as young as 5 (World of Physics : Energy & Waves) it would have been too long & not hold their attention enough so it is good idea to see what is recommended age/grade range for each particular class on Disney's site or call and ask if you're uncertain. Your child is so close to 5 so it shouldn't be a problem for classes in that range.

Good luck :goodvibes

According to my order receipt:

"Changes to your order must be made in writing via fax or email 48 hours prior to your arrival at the Will Call Window."

Further along:

"Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable."

When I placed my order online it asked for the primary contact's name and the participant's name and age. I don't know if they actually print these on the tickets. Not sure what kinds of changes they would allow 48 hours prior to pickup. Maybe if your days changed you could reschedule?

Our tickets in August did not have names printed on them; they all say youth somewhere on them ( think it was on the back ) but they are valid for adults ( youth just denotes that they are tied to youth program ) and we were never questioned when using them. I was contact person for our family's order and my sister's family order and I had to show photo ID at will call window to pick up both families orders.

ETA : if I remember correctly you can definitely add days to tickets providing it's done at least 48 hrs before pick up but I'm not sure if reducing number of days on tickets is allowed ( because $ would need to be refunded ). Date changes I think are allowed as well but the day or days that your class(es) will take place must still fall within the 'from xxx through xxx' date range on the tickets.

Can anyone confirm that there will be YES programs in Walt Disney World in September 2011. I see the listings on the website for Disneyland but did not see any for WDW

I emailed Ashley from the "yes" program and this was the response I got back today.

Thank you for your request. At this time we are working on confirming dates for September & October 2011. I will make sure you are a part of our email list and we will let you know as soon as dates are available.

If you have any additional questions, please let me know.

So, it looks like there's definitely a possibility; it'd be great for me if it happens;)

what are the max days that we can do when participate in the YES program. Is there a range of the days before the program day that I can start using the yes ticket? for example, if my daughter signs up for a yes program for8/28/11, can we start using the ticket on 8/21/11? we will be in disney for about 12 days in august, and try to see whether we can get at least a 10 day ticket. thanks

Call to confirm but usually the max is 10 days. While 10 day ticket is not listed you can request it in the comments box when you register. Remember the premium tickets come with an equal amount of days to the ticket for waterparks and Disney Quest. For example a 5 day premium gives you five days for waterparks and/or Disney Quest in addition to your 5 day park hopper. When you sign up for the tickets you will be asked for your arrival date and departure date from Orlando. Your tickets are valid 7 days prior to your arrival date and 7 days after your departure date.

So yes, if your daughter signs up for the class on the 28th you can use your tickets on the 21st. As a matter of fact if you but the 21st in as your arrival date the tickets will be good starting on the 14th.

There are classes for individual enrollment on Jan. 10, 11, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25 and 31 in case you will be there any of those dates.

OK we are ready to bite the bullet here and buy tix. So I just need to go to the enrollment form, put in the info, put in the notes section that we want 8 day premium passes incl. water park fun and more..and that's it? We can specify if we want them mailed or at will call, right?

Last year we specified will call and picked them up no problem. But check to see the day you are arriving against the times of the will call windows. Those windows normally close at different hours than the parks, and each park will call window may close at a different time than another park. Did that make sense?

We are going end of January and am doing the YES program. We were only able to get 8 day tickets. I talked with Heidi before I ordered and she said that 8 day was the max number of days you could order. She said that last year they offered 10 days but this year you can only get 8 days.

We are picking up our tickets at will call. Here are the hours on my order receipt:

Group Sales Window at Ticket & Transp. Center @ MK 8am-2pm
Will Call @ Epcot 8:30am-2pm
Will Call @ AK 8:30am-2pm
Will Call @ HS 8:30am-2pm
DTD Guest Relations window @ Disney Quest 9am-4pm

Yes, makes sense. I did a walk through of ordering and 7 day premium tix came to 200.66 each. I'm oh so slightly nervous to order, since it's non refundable. I may call tomorrow and see what they think the risk is of our program filling up if we wait.

I will be able to tell you about the presentation after my return in January ;)

Here are the prices for 8-day tickets through HOMESCHOOL days (not open enrollment)

8-Day Base
$158.71
8-Day w/ Hopping
$176.82
8-Day Premium
$194.92

When you purchased your tickets for Homeschool Days, did you just make up a name when it asks for the group name? I'm a little bummed because I wanted to go to a YES program class with DD, but she really wants to see the African Cats presentation, so Homeschool Days it will be :)

In NC you have to have a name for your homeschool when you homeschool your kids, so I just used that. What date are you attending?

Sometimes organization ask for a school name. Some families use their last name (Smith Homeschool), some their street name (Broadway Ave Homeschool), and some create a name that says something about their homeschool. We created an acronym as part of our homeschool name. So you can keep it simple or be creative. :)

What happens if you miss your pickup time? I think that I need to pay for the delivery. Could someone kindly tell me how to order more than the 5 days offered? I would really really appreciate it.
