How far in advance do they announce open enrollment? Like at the first of the year do they announce which months for the entire year? We are going next year Memorial day week and I would love for my kids to do this if offered. I just wondered how soon to watch for the info.

Its says in this thread somewhere but i think they opened the summer program at the end of March. Keep in mind they only did Jan, June and July.

We only have one child in our group....my grandson, who will be nine for our upcoming trip in January, 2011. Does anyone know if we are limited to ONE adult going with him to any classes.....if, by chance, open enrollment is even going to be offered during our trip? I know we would all like to attend the class (there are four, maybe five, adults) with him.

The tix already include tax and the payment 4 1 class. Additional classes r xtra.

My niece went in Jan '10 & Her Mom, Aunt, Dad, Granny & sis were all able to get YES tickets w/ her enrollment.

I believe that I saw on the ticket order form that you can add more adults for the class at a cost of $26 each. I may have misunderstood it, as I wasn't paying a lot of attention to that part.

Why not go through and make a fake purchase (go as far as you need to find that page, then exit)?

Just got off the phone with the Y.E.S. people. 877-FIELDTRIP (877-343-5387)

I was told the next open enrollment will be in January 2011.

I don't suppose they mentioned any months beyond that did they? I'm hoping to get my kids in this when we return next year.

Oh SCORE!!!!! We're hoping to go in January 2011 and I was SO hoping for open enrollment. I really need a 'snoopy dance' smiley right now!

Did they mention when in January? I know home school days are at the end of January, will they be the same time?

Hello all! I just registered my family for the 7/12 Ocean Discoveries class! Just wanted to pop in and thank the OP again for this thread! We are so excited to have the opportunity to participate in this program!

Now I can't wait for the tickets to be in my hands! Of course, I'll be all angst-y until they arrive. What's everyone's most recent experience with the timespan between ordering the tickets and their delivery? popcorn::

I think I saw that the dates for homeschool days were Jan. 24-25. (Monday and Tuesday of that week.)

He did not mention. I'm sure you can call on Monday to the phone number I provided to get more information.
We have just learned about the Y.E.S. program and wanted to take part, but not sure we want to do it in January. I think I read in a previous post of yours that you have a 5 year old - are you planning anything for that child? We have an 8 and a 5 year old and if we do the Y.E.S. program, we would like to get both kids involved. I saw some classes are available for 5 year olds, but I believe the one you are planning requires kids to be in at least 2nd grade - is that right? Our plans are very flexible, and are possibly interested in your December dates if we can get both kids involved.

No. He only mentioned January.

I still have 3 openings for our December 18th class at AK.
I meant to post this to your post that you had three openings yet for the December 18th class at AK. Sorry, kinda new to this...

A friend of mine has kids almost the same ages as yours. She called and asked if her five year old could go to the same class as her 8 year old(said 2nd or 3rd grade and up). She was told the ages are just guidelines for parents and they were welcome to have them both go to the same class. I wouldn't being a 5 year old to a class listed for high school kids, but your kids are close enough in age that it should be fine.

Is there any groups set up for September 19th-25th yet? I would love to join a group, I have a 6 year old. If not, I may try and start one if anyone is interested.
