Disney Y.E.S. - Too Good to be True?

How would the YES program work with Free Dining or a room discount?

It's separate. That is, for FD or a package, you need to buy at least a one day base ticket (or two day for FD). You can then save those tickets and use the ones from the Y.E.S. program.

You can only take fully advantage if you are going on a room discount and are not buying the dining plan, since you would need to get at least a one-day base ticket.

Now, my question is, how do you get signed up if you already have a package?

This sounds interesting -- I've never heard of it before! We are planning a trip in June 2011 with my inlaws -- all our nieces and nephews, as well as our own 4 children, will be there -- most are school aged. Is this available only if we are staying onsite? Because we will be staying in a non-Disney hotel, but if this is still available to us I'll have to look into it more. Thanks for any info!

I've read this thread and scanned the other LONG one. I can't find anything about the cost of the actual classes. In addition to the cost of your park tickets and room (and of course food) what is the cost to attend a YES class (tuition)?

I have two DC who will be entering 1st and 2nd grades during our May 28-June 4 trip. I already have another family who will be there during that time - if anyone is interested and we can get 10 total, I'm happy to coordinate!

is there anyone/any place that is coordinating 2011 groups to do any YES programs? Open enrollment may or may not be in place at the time we wanting to do some programs in 2011.

That would be great! I'll have ones in K, 1st and 2nd grade so that would be a perfect match up. I can add three to the total. :goodvibes

This thread has been so helpful. I have seen YES threads before and skipped over them - and for some reason decided to read this one today. We're going in May - June 2011 and I know our two older children would love something like this! (and I'd love the discount, too).

Will your two younger children be 5 and 9 by the time you take your trip? If so, perhaps we could do the Synergy in Science class (for grades 1-5) - I think Disney would be willing to allow an incoming kindergartener - I can call and find out for sure.

Will you be there on June 3?

How old are your kids? Mine will be entering 1st and 2nd, and Delmar is also interested with 3 kids ranging from grades k-2. That's 5 definite, and I'm fairly certain I can count on one other family who will also be traveling at that time. What are your dates? We were thinking Friday, June 3 as a possibility.

I did send a help email over the weekend and then called on Monday morning. Julie and Heidi were very helpful. You have to add to the comment section if you want a different ticket. They offered an 8 and 10 day. What are your dates?

Thanks for the help! We are going to be there August 21-31. I am going to sign my kids up for a class on August 23. :goodvibes

The cost of your first class is included with your park tickets. Any additional class will cost 26.

We took the American story class on July 21st. It was really interesting. The best part was being on stage and up close to the Presidents. The detail is amazing. The boys loved the fact that we got to ride Slash and Thunder mountain. The big mystery is why I get soaking wet on that ride even when I sit in a different spot each time.:confused3:lmao:

Hey disneyfamily71, my family, me, DH, DS16,DD13,DD10, are all going on Aug 23! Something different to experience! (I am assuming we are all set for Aug 23. I got a confirmation with no date on it.)

Okay, guess we're in for two in each class for the Nov 12th classes!! So excited, the kids are going to love this. Thanks for all the effort put into organizing this, it's much appreciated!!

Darn, we are going later than that -- the 19th-25th, I think, of June. Thanks for asking though, and I will definitely be looking into this further!

Wow, how did I miss this??? Keeping my fingers crossed that on Friday (when I get paid) there is room for 2 for the Aug 16 Ocean Discoveries class.

What happens if I register and give my cc information, then find out that there is not room? Will I get charged full price for tix?

Gosh, one more question. We arrive by car on Aug 15 - which will-call window is open the latest? We're staying at Wyndham Bonnet Creek, so any of the parks or DTD will be ok, but in case we're delayed...

Same date we are signed up for! My DH and sons are doing one class and DD and myself the class for little ones!! See you there!

This is my first time hearing about this. Can adults by the passes or just kids, we have 3 adults and 2 kids? If they cancel the class can we still use the pass?

If you register through open enrollment, everyone in your party can purchase tickets at the discounted rate. If you sign up with a group, you can buy one adult ticket for every child's ticket purchased.

We are planning a group class on June 3 for either k-2 or 1-5 if you're an early bird planner!! :)

HI! Would you be able to tell me where you saw the dates available for August? When I look at the site I only see through July 29th. Do I need to call?

Thanks!
