Disney Y.E.S. Program

Yes, but you have to use the 12 digit code that's attached to the barcode on the email you get at 30ish days before your arrival date.

I had been struggling with how to link my tickets for days, and even called Disney for help (and emailed) and they just said I'd have to wait. Now that I used that barcode I was able to make my first FastPass+ selections. Ridiculous how excited this makes me!:cheer2:

I figured we were pretty safe, I thought it would be a popular class. How was your trip to China?

It went amazingly smooth. We ended up in 8 countries total and we were so fortunate not to have one cancelled flight or miss an appointment for any tour. There are a few things I would do differently, but all of the kids want to do it again. 2016 I should have enough miles to go back and this time they want to include DLP as well as the other Disneys.

Thanks for asking. Samantha wants to do the animation class. She started in school the Aug, but now she is home schooling. I wish we had kept the TA cruise.

So .. I have the email with the 12 digit code. I'm not sure why .. but I'm hesitant to go ahead and link the YES tickets to our Magic Bands. We will have just two days to play in the parks after our cruise so I don't want to run into any technical difficulties with the Magic Bands. If we are having technical difficulties with the Magic Bands .. can they just reverse the process and let us use the "paper tickets" instead of spending hours of time at guest services while they work out the kinks?

UGH!! Now the physics class he was suppose to take next weekend in Disneyland was canceled. So, the only class that is available is animation which is fine, but not the class he was interested in learning.

I really go to Disney for these classes, but it seems easier to go to WDW for classes since it is closer.

Thank you!
Got my email with my code this morning and got everything onto MDE! Ordered our Magic Bands and am in the process of making our Fast Pass + selections.
Sooo excited :yay::yay::yay:

Cindy can you explain this to me? Is this barcode attached to your tickets? Assume it is....if I was on a split stay at dvc on cash then checking into YC - could I use same barcode at both hotels?? As part of ticket will be used while at DVC and part of ticket while at YC. THey are NOT annual passes

I will try...I really have no idea what I'm doing though :confused3
Mine did not have a barcode- it just said Disney Reservation Code For Ticket Pick Up. We are staying in a preferred room at CBR for the first 4 days and then moving to a Pirate room for the next 4 and in MDE it is listed as 2 separate reservations (I had to enter the # twice). Hope that helps?

A word of warning to anyone who gets to do Magic Bands- I clicked on it to "just look" and customized mine- thinking I would come back the next morning and let my kids choose their colors- but when I logged back in they showed as being shipped! So don't click on anything until you are ready to order!

thanks Cindy! so if I understand this totally, which I am so trying to do b/c it is driving me NUTS, you have YES tickets and were able to associate the YES tickets with both reservations b/c both were listed in your account on the Disney site. 1 set of tickets, 2 rooms. Off topic, and I apologize for not reading whole thread, if you buy YES tickets now you get information on them prior to leaving to then associate tickets with rooms. Did I say that right?

For YES tickets, you get an email with a will-call confirmation number. That number now appears to be accepted to load the tickets.

If you don't do anything until you get there and get the tickets, you need to enter each individual ticket ID from the back of the card.

Tickets and reservations are somewhat separate beasts in the system, although it does appear that you need to get the tickets associated to the FIRST eligible reservation at least to trigger being able to make FP+ reservations in advance. Then you should be able to make reservations for however many days the tickets are good for.

Subbing - we just found out that DD's preschool is trying to put together a trip next March OR May. I really want to make this happen for us! WOOT!! :cool1:

Any speculation as to when the spring/summer 2014 schedule will be released ?

We're planning a YES trip with my girl scout troop.

We're planning a YES trip with my girl scout troop.

If I understand the previous pattern correctly, the next set of dates isn't released until after the current classes are complete. Classes are currently scheduled through October 30.

Is there a comprehensive list anywhere that lists ALL the classes they offer.

All I can see is what classes are open, we're at a Girl Scout meeting right now and are trying to make our 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices for each park. The girls will be 14 at the time of the trip.

But we're only able to see what the classes are that are open for enrollment still.

I apologize if this is a stupid question, but from what I can figure out, the minimum number of days you have to purchase for tickets is 3, right? (For non-Florida resident.)

The reason I ask is this- there are 2 adults, 2 kids who will be going in January. DS wants to do a YES class. I have already booked a s/p/d promo for our week, and have tickets through that package already, so I don't really need tickets. Is it not possible to do a YES class without having to purchase a 3 day minimum for all 4 of us?

If they stick with the current rules I believe you would have to purchase one child and one adult ticket. Some people buy the yes tickets and save the other tickets for a later trip.

Am I the only one that goes for the classes themselves? :confused3 My son loves these classes and now that my daughter (9) is home schooling, she is asking to go as well. So, I booked for Jan just to take her to a class.

Does anyone else do this?

I've read plenty of reports from those who truly enjoyed the classes. We haven't had great luck with ours...one was really boring and the other was okay. I can't imagine any of MY kids truly wanting to take another one but then all kids are different and enjoy different things. I know my DD was hoping for some behind the scenes glimpses or something special during both of her classes, but about as behind the scenes we got was a classroom in the Seas and a conference room lol.

You should be able to have the tickets from your package to be moved to a stand alone ticket. Ask concierge at your resort. Then you can keep those tickets for future trip. I believe the YES tickets have to be used within a window around the class you are attending so you wouldn't be able to keep those to use later.

Does the YES! program typically offer classes in May? Taking a homeschooled child May 11-20 2014 and would love for him to do it.

Soooo interested in these classes for my kids! Anyone know if they offer classes in August-more towards the end of the month--15th-25th???:)
