Disney Y.E.S. Program

When do they usually come out with the new schedule? Going in May and trying to plan.

Inidividual Enrollment has not been available in March, April or May at WDW. It starts mid June for summer.

At least they posted some information for 2013 but it is for DISNEYLAND in CA.

oh wow... I bet that means WDW is around the corner!

Nothing over 4th of July in CA... I hope that's not true for WDW too

I am so happy I found this thread!
We have been wanting to participate in a YES program for the last few years, but it never fit the schedule, but it will this time! :yay:

Looking forward to the schedule for 2013 at WDW.

Just a note that DisneyLand has historically had individual enrollment dates throughout the year, whereas WDW has not. I'm not saying it will never happen, but I wouldn't get your hopes up. Disneyland and Disneyworld are two completely different animals.

We leave on October 5th. My son's class is scheduled for the 12th. I have the original bar code email from when I paid for the tickets. Should I be expecting an additional email?

Thanks for your help!

That's all you'll need (plus a drivers license) to get your tickets. They don't send an additional email. They will usually send a confirmation email for the actual class that you will take with you and show to the person checking people into the class.

Is there a site that shows YES classes from earlier this year? I've looked and looked and can't find one.

The archive.org version of the site will show 2011 classes but not ones from earlier this year. http://web.archive.org/web/20101121184819/http://disneyyouth.com/individual-enrollment/catalog/

Here's a link to a thread on the dis where someone was kind enough to post most of the dates. The beginning of January isn't on it though.

My 10 year old son was registered for the Sept 21 "Everyday Chemistry" class along with his aunt (my sister). It was a birthday trip celebration for my son's October birthday so he was wearing a "Happy Birthday" button. They allowed my other sister to attend the class as well since it was "my son's birthday". I told them to be prepared that one of them (one of my sisters) would have to tour Epcot alone until the class ended but they all ended up being able to attend the class. It seems that my sisters who studied biology and pharmacy in college were more excited about the class than my son, but he said he learned some things too. Will definitely look into other class options if they are available for future trips. I also have kids who are 14 and 5 but they were not along on this trip. My sisters report that they were told that the Physics class is a really good one.

You mentioned that your son learned some things, but more importantly, did he enjoy it? We have this class in a few days, and I was wondering if it was fun at all?

Thanks!!

Think he enjoyed it. My sisters were the ones who took him to the class and he's at school right now, otherwise I would ask my son. I did ask him last night if he liked the class and if he would be interested in future classes. He didn't say no. But this son is not one that gets overly excited about much and the lack of complaints probably means it was a good experience. They rode the Energy Ride and Mission to Mars and my son hasn't ridden on either in the past even though he's had the opportunity to ride before. My sisters reported that he participated in the class and answered and asked questions and if he wasn't having a good time, he wouldn't have done that. He may have been a bit tired though since they flew in the night before and stayed out at Downtown Disney until closing and then went to class early the next morning. It was the start to a long day since they attended the Halloween party until midnight.

If he is like most boys that age, tolerance & participation = enjoyment ;) HAHA! Thank you!!

Seems like you understand....my sister sent emailed me a couple of photos during the class and he wasn't smiling and excited looking but the boy next to him was caught in a big yawn!

We attended the Wild By Nature Class last week (myself & my just turned 10 yr old daughter). I don't want to say we disliked the class, but I will say we both found it quite boring and I don't really feel like she learned much of anything. If I had $1.00 for every time my dd asked if the class was over yet I could have paid for my park tickets :rotfl:

The instructor was very enthusiastic and friendly but I felt like either the class was below her instructional level or should have had more content incorporated in it. I felt like it was a loooong 3 hours!

Having said all of that for the amount of savings that we had by purchasing our park tix through the program I would attend the class again to reap those savings. With the new changes in the purchase policies I would have to really think about it.

Just to offer a different perspective for those wondering about the class, my 10 year old son and I just attended and we both really enjoyed it. We didn't find it to be boring at all and we learned a lot about many different animals.

Help please!!!!! We are checking in at the world on Wednesday and or the life of me cannot find the Email with the YES ticket voucher info!!! Can anyone tell me who sent the email or what the subject would be so I could search for it?

All I have found is he registering confirmation that we got part week! Thanks!!!!
