Disney Y.E.S. Program

I signed my DD age 12 up for June 12 YES Chemisty class at Epcot and DS8 for the Synergy in Science class on June 13. It's now going to be just me and the two kids. They are both not the right ages to be in each other's class. It's now going to be just me and the 2 kids. I know I have to be there as they are not 13 yet. Will they allow me to have the other child along? Not as a participant, but if they were with me playing their DS or keeping themselves entertained? My DS8 is definately too young to leave alone even for a few hours so I need him with me. DD I would be ok with at the condo we are staying at with specific instructions she has to stay in the condo. Thanks for your help!

We had the same issue with our family and there is no easy solution. You can hire a sitter but it is really expensive. We solved this by DH and DS fly down a day before me and my daughter. I can't get out of work the entire vacation and it works out that there is a class the day before I get off.

What dates are you there? If you are there until June 18th, you could change them both to the Energy and Waves class. They are much more flexible with a child being a little too old. My son was 16 and was in a class for 8-15 year olds last year.

My son is in the same class as yours.

I wish the dates were swapped. This way you and your son could have met me and mine and then decided if you wanted your son to hang with us during your daughter's class.

I would call and see what they say about him tagging along. He is old enough to keep to himself and not become a distraction. I would imagine that is why they don't want younger siblings coming.

Just wondering if anyone has had any luck adding a day to their ticket package? We have enough tickets so we thought...but now we need to get into MK early on our MNSSHP night in order to get into Pirate's League before they close. (This is based on 2010 and 2011 PL hours ending at 3:30 on party days). So, what are my chances of being able to add one day to our tickets? Is there a number I should call, or even an email address that would be appropriate for this type of question?

I was in a similar situation and was able to add a day to our tickets. I spoke with Dave Lehman at Student Guest Services. He was extremely helpful. His number is 407-472-4676 ext. 12. Good luck!

I was just looking for this information. We added a day at the end of our trip and wanted to add a day to our YES tickets as well. Thanks! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Thank you VERY much! I will give him a call...good to know that they are so helpful!

Wow, I'm so glad I bought our tickets the minute the dates posted. Oct 30 Wild by Nature is already closed!

Do they offer classes during President's week? Or the Friday before?

This year Feb. 15th was the last day, I 'm pretty sure - the Wed before President's week.

That's the timeframe we're looking at going next year - before President's Day.

How many adult tickets can you purchase along with the kids'?

We will have my step daughter, who will be 20 at the time of the trip with us. Will they allow us to purchase 3 adult tickets? I know only one can go with the kids to the class, but will they allow an extra adult who is their sister?

no, only 2.

I know this question has been asked before, but I've just read this thread for an hour and can't find it! So we're thinking of signing up for a class that starts on a Monday morning at 8:15, but the flights we are looking at don't land until 9:50 pm on Sunday. This is in August. Would I be able to do this? I don't know if anywhere is open that late to pick them up, or open early enough on Monday morning. Can anybody help me? Thanks!

How many kids are taking the class? If it's 2, you could register one with you and DH and one with your older daughter. If it's only one, this obviously won't work.

There should always be a ticket booth/Guest Relations open at least 30 minutes before any guest is allowed in to the park - including for classes.

It's 2 - and yes I was already thinking of doing that if I couldn't get three.

BTW Torinsmom, I'm still enjoying those Crocs! :)

Glad to hear it! I swear by mine at WDW:goodvibes

Hope you get the registration to work. This is our third year doing the YES program.
