How many days at DL?

For those of you who have been to DL with kids recently, would you do three or four days? In the past three days was enough, (though very busy) but with Toon Town and Fantasmic back, I am wondering if we should do a fourth day. We are not rope drop people.

Though there are quite a few folks on this board go to both Disney World and Disneyland (CA), you'll probably get more replies over on the Disneyland board.

I always opt for more days. It allows us to do shorter days in the park so the kids aren't exhausted. They can go back to the hotel, play in the pool and relax. The less days you have the more you feel like you need to be in the parks or you are missing out.

We did a 4 day trip with a rest day last summer with our 4 year old and it was a good length. Didn't have to rush as much to hit all of the must dos. Allowed the kid time to soak it in and us to pull back when everyone got tired.

This year, my wife is trying to talk me into even getting a ticket for our rest day to make it a 5 park day trip. I just don't know if we would actually treat the rest day as a chill day to sleep in and just meet some characters and stuff or not.

I'd always lean toward adding that extra day if time and budget allows. DL has more attractions than any other Disney park so there is alot to do!

Regardless of what you decide (I like booking more days if possible), try and book a rest day between days 2 and 3. Have fun!

I think it really depends on you, your kids and how you "do" the parks. I always found 3 days the sweet spot. 2 days was never enough and 4 days was too much of a good thing.

Our family (small: 3 of us) routinely does only 2 park days b/c we live close and go frequently. However, I tell others who go less, have more people with them, etc. that 3 full days is an optimal amount of time. I'd second that for you, especially if you aren't rope droppers. Standard asterisks: depends on the time of year, what special/seasonal things are going on at the parks, weather, etc. For me, 3 full days is enough to get to do most (if not all) the things you want to do assuming nothing goes awry. I don't think you can go wrong with 4 days either, but my guess is 4 days gets you to re-rides, re-watches, etc.

I'd go with 4. That way you have more time to see everything, plus you will be able to have a more relaxing time.
