I'm a YES ticket rookie here... Looking at this as it seems the savings could be huge...although the available courses are limited it seems when we are there.

Couple questions:

1) Can days be added? I believe the answer is no...

2) We are a family of 4 - 2 adults, one child over 10, one child under 10. The older one would be taking the course. Can we get tickets for all 4 under this? When they say "accompanying immediate family members", I'm not sure if that's for the adult that must be there, or all of them.

3) We are traveling with another family, who has a DD the same age, and might be interested in taking the course as well. Will two parents be required to attend, or would one between us be fine?

The number of "plus" visits is equal to the number of main park days on the ticket, so an 8 day ticket will have 8, a 5 day ticket will have 5, etc. Keep in mind that unlike park days, those "plus" features are per *visit* rather than day - DH has used as many as 3 in a single day, playing a round of golf on the 9 hole course before meeting us at the waterpark and then heading to Disney Quest in the evening.

Having just been on the individual enrollment ticket prices page, I can confirm that the "pluses" do not equal the days in all cases. It seems to be five pluses for tickets of 5- to 8-days, and 3 pluses for 3- and 4-day.

At least that's what they advertise.

1. We are staying at POFQ, do we just have them call us a cab or what other options do we have if no car if class at 7:15am at MK?

2. We are flying in the day before. Can the tickets be picked up at DD anywhere?

3. DH wants to go too and we have a 12 and a 15 year old. I know one of us can automatically participate w/ our 12 yo DD, but can we sign up 15 year old DD and DH together separately (if that makes sense) and he can participate as well?

I read this thread but was not 100% clear on those items.

That is weird. I just checked our tickets from our Jan trip (my 3yo keeps them to play with ) and they say "7 day pk hpr w/7 fun visits", so either there's a typo somewhere in the booking system or it has changed VERY recently. I deleted my confirmation e-mails when we got home so I can't go back to that for comparison to see what we were told when booking.

The savings for our family were HUGE. Over $1000! 8 day premiums with Hoppers and WP&M = $220 per person.
I don't know if you had the chance to read my post from earlier today on the "FP Enforcement" thread, but I'd love to hear your thoughts on strategizing with the new system.

I would say you would need two chaperones because you will have to book them separately in order to get enough tickets for everyone in both families. If you register the kids together you can only get a maximum of two adult tickets.

Just to clarify, your DDs would be attending the same class?

If they're attending different classes you can register all at once and sign each parent up as the chaperone for each child. If they're attending the same class, yes only one parent is allowed to attend so you would have to register separately. (Some have mentioned the possible problem of the class reaching capacity during the time between your first and second registration transaction)

No. It shows up on your card as "STUDENT GUEST SRV TKTS", not Disney.

Also, I thought you only got the 6mos on a package. I booked room only at POR and my deposit didn't show up on my last statement as qualifying for the no interest.

I believe you are correct...only room packages (which include MYW tickets) qualify for the no interest deal.

We will be in Disney World in August, our kids will be 19, 16, and 9. My DH and I will have annual passes so he and myself wouldn't need passes. Would we be able to sign up our 9 yo for a class and get discounted passes for our three kids? Either myself, or my 19 yo would attend the class with the 9 yo. Thanks!

However, since one of your kids is 19 you would be able to get tickets for them without having to purchase unnecessary tickets for you and/or your DH. You will have to register just the 3 kids as a family (19yo as the adult chaperone). Doing it this way, though the 19yo would need to be present to pick up the tickets and s/he would have to be the one to accompany your 9yo to the class.

Unfortunately it doesn't really work for people with APs

Here's the info from their website and email responses:

"2. I am an annual pass holder/cast member/or guest that has already
purchased tickets. Is there a program fee only option?

We appreciate your interest in our Disney Y.E.S. Individual Enrollment and Disney Homeschool Days programs. We welcome annual pass holders, cast members, and guests to participate in our programs however we do require that you purchase a ticket package for each program participant. Disney Youth Education Series and Homeschool Days is a separate admission because of its educational components, so annual passes, complimentary admission, and regular front-gate admission cannot be applied to the cost."

In the past you could just pay a small fee to attend a class, but now you have to purchase the ticket package which includes park admission. Since the cheapest is the 3-day starter package (at $150 x at least 2 since you need to purchase for the child(ren) and chaperone) that's a pretty expensive class if you don't really need the park admission.
