Do they typically have classes the week of Thanksgiving? I'm looking but the last date for WDW is Oct. 31st. Just wasn't sure if more classes would be released or we are just out of luck.
The wording on the website does still say the 7 days prior to arrival date and after departure date. However, my confirmation states that my tickets may be picked up beginning on the date I put in as my arrival date. The date that it states the tickets will be valid through is 7 days past the date I put in as my departure date (which is in fact 21 days that the tickets could be valid for). I don't know why the wording on the website is different than the wording on the confirmation...
Can one parent take 2 kids to the same class? my oldest 2 would be taking the same class in october, but we will also have the baby with us. So dh or i will need to stay with her.
Did you try registering 2 of the kids separately - with 1 parent each, DCLBride?
That might work for you....
Well, the class for the 16 years opened up earlier this week and it is already closed before I could register.I have been reading this thread but I think it would be easier to just ask my questions:
Trip: August '12
Attending: me (single parent), my girlfriend, my 2 daughters 16 and 13 and my daughter's friend who is also 16. I would like to get YES tix for all three kids who all would like to attend a class and for my girlfriend as her AP will expire before the trip. My AP will still be active.
My Questions: I assume I can buy each of my daughters YES tix no problem as they both plan to attend a class. Can I buy one for the friend too as she will be attending a class as well? Can I get one for my girlfriend and she would be considered the guardian? Or can/should she do a seperate registration and buy one for the firend and be considered her guardian? I am thrown off by the "immediate family" as obviously our family is not typical. Finally, I have an annual pass, but I would like to attend one of the classes with my youngest daughter, is that OK or do I need to purchase a YES ticket too?
TIA
Well, the class for the 16 years opened up earlier this week and it is already closed before I could register. So now there are only classes open for my 13 year old. What are my options? HELP!!
OK, I was wondering if what you just described would work. So only one person taking the class is OK? Cool.enter the 13 yr old under student
Enter the 2 -16 yr olds under student
Enter your GF under adult
Select the 13 yr old and your GF as attending the class that is open
Purchase tickets for everyone you entered.
(only the 13 yr old and GF will be able to attend a class, the 16 yr olds have free time with you)
I have participated in YES several times in the past but I am blanking if I register online today do I have to purchase the tickets today as well or can I do that later?

duh, don't know why i didn't think of that! of course, i just mentioned it to DH and he is concerned that we would do one registration and then the class would be full before we did the second registration. we'll see.... or maybe we'll just both show up and see if they kick one of us out?
Alas, that's EXACTLY what happened to me for the June 12th Synergy in Science. My mom is coming along this trip, and the system wouldn't let me buy her ticket as well as tickets for both myself and DW (even if I was registering a second child)....soooo, I signed up DS11 with me as the chaperone, and DW as the additional allowed parent. Then, I went back in to sign up DS6 for the same class, with DW as the chaperone, and wouldn't ya know the darn thing was FULL/CLOSED.![]()
So, I registered DS11 for Everyday Chemistry, which was still open, with DW as chaperone. No problem, right? I figured DS6 can just go to the SinS (hee her, nice acronym) class in DS11s place, and DS11 can do the Chemistry class.
My self-congratulating was short-lived, however, when DW pointed out to me that either she or my mom would now have to chaperone DS11 while I chaperone DS6 in the other class (I was originally going to be attending with both of them, you see). That would be okay, except we also have the baby to contend with (well, she's walking now, but still a baby to me/us), and I would hate to saddle my 69-year old mom with our youngest (mom uses an ECV) almost as much as I would hate to send her on the Chemistry odyssey with DS11.
AND, as if that weren't bad enough, we explained the situation to the boys and DS6 is REFUSING to attend class without his brother!
Ugh....guess it's time to call. Wonder if they've ever heard THIS one before???

Don't know if I'd admit I was trying to circumvent the system to get grandma a discounted ticket. Someone called last year and was told that grandparents are not considered immediate family. SO maybe you should just mention that you messed up registering them separately and want to move the SIS child to the Chemistry class with his brother, if there is still space. Maybe they can switch the child without you having to do the registration over. If you have to do it all over, you will probably have to pay full price for your mother's ticket.
Or, you could just leave your mom at resort with your youngest, which would be easier than being at a park. Have them meet you there once the class is over.
