Disney Y.E.S. Program

It was my 11 y.o. ds and 8 y.o. dd. Now my 11 y.o. ds is gifted and I have to admit I thought he would be bored with the class...but he actually really enjoyed it and loved being smart enough to know the answers for some of the question's the CM's were asking(he reads about everything you can imagine and remembers the info ).
My 8 y.o. dd loved it too and even got a magical moment for guessing the one thing right that everyone else got wrong.(not gonna tell too much...would spoil it).
We started at the Tree of life and went to where the bats are and such...did a few things there, then over to Africa to discuss/learn some things about the animals and then break up into mini-teams before going on the safari.
All along the way when you are walking the leader will have you stop and look at things and asks lots of questions. The more involved you are the more fun it will be for you!
Be sure to bring a water bottle along with you as you will get thirsty!

We are going to WDW 6/9 - 6/16 and taking our niece and nephews (ages 8,10, and 14) and want to sign them up for either the Synergy in Science or Chemistry YES classes that are offered on 6/12 and 6/13. I believe that this will be a really good experience for them (they all love science related topices) plus you can't beat the discounted ticket prices.

If I understand correclty, DH and I will both have to chaperone since the 8 year old and 10 year old will be in separate classes. We may have a third adult with us, but not sure (will have to confirm ASAP). Can we get the discount tickets for the third adult as well even if they don't chaperone? I'm a little confused on who can get the discount tickets.

I see on the website that it says once you enroll, you can print your confirmation and present it at guest relations or the ticket window at any park the day prior to your program date. If for example, we go on the 6/13 program date, does that mean we can't use our park tickets until 6/12? Or can we pick up our tickets on the 10th when we hit our first park (DHS for last day of Star Wars!).

What kind of ticket will you get? Is it like a regular DW ticket where each person will have one ticket loaded with your number of days? (Trying to figure out how much we'll have to keep up with).

With having to order for 5 people and not being able to add onto these tickets laters, I want to make sure that I don't screw up when I do my order.

You must be so excited about your upcoming trip!

It is my understanding that when you start the ordering process online and put in the dates that you will be there, that your tickets are good for 7 days prior to the arrival date you input and 7 days after the end date you entered.
I don't have experience with the tickets because I will be picking mine up in 4 days-but from what I heard they are the made of Tyvek (so not the plastic KTTW ones, but like the normal one you would buy individually from Disney)

Also, you cannot have more adults than children when ordering....I would think that you should be able to have the three adults names and the three childrens names when you put the order in. But you cant make any changed afterwards. If you have an issue with that (which I doubt) then I would suggest just putting two orders in.

For all those who posted that registration is open and the link to find the registration, THANK YOU!!! I just registered 4 kids for the Ocean's Discoveries class for Sept. 19th. This means this trip is really happening!

BTW: I registered for my friend and her family. She has two kids who are taking the class with my kids. I was able to get tix for her two kids taking the class, for her and her husband, and for her 17 yr. old who is to old to take the class. That is a total of 5 tix for 2 kids taking the class.

Dont know anything about those classes, but the answer to question 1 is no. Only 8 days is possible.

No they are not upgradable.

My daughter is 9 also, but I think that when I called last year, she will be able to take the Chemistry class because she will be 10 not long after. I could be wrong, but I am going to email again just in case. If not, no worries because she can do the Synergy again.
