Disney World tests virtual queues at water parks

My question then becomes, how do you know what time it is? I never wear a watch at water parks and there aren't exactly clocks all around either.

There is a big clock tower outside the wave pool. It's so you know when the big waves are going to hit. I don't know how you'd know in the back areas of the park though.

My boys were able to try this out yesterday morning at Blizzard Beach. There were signs at the beginning of the park announcing where to get your virtual queue time. In typical teenager fashion, they didn't want to stop and get a time when we arrived at 10 a.m. I checked at about 11:45, and all of the times were already given out for the day for Summit Plummet and Slush Gusher (it was REALLY hot yesterday). The wait time for Summit Plummet was at least 45 minutes at this point, so we were just going to leave, but this wonderful couple approached us and said that they were leaving and gave my boys their wristband for a time valid immediately. My kids were up and down within 15 minutes. It was SO great! I hope this concept stays around in some form.
