Disney World for a Disneyland Expert. Help!

I understand you are priced out of AoA, but what about renting DVC points and staying in a 1BR at someplace like Saratoga Springs or Old Key West? That would be less than an AoA suite, give you so much more room for 5+1, and it would give you a washer, dryer, and full kitchen. It might be like $100 more per night.

I redid the math and based on recommendations here I think I am leaning toward spending a bit more (but less than AoA) and getting two rooms at POP (hopefully connecting) so we have more space and 2 bathrooms. I think I have convinced myself that if I am going to pay more to stay onsite I want to have access to the Skyliner because not having to fold my stroller to go to 2 of the parks is super attractive. I thought about trying to rent DVC points but I think access to the Skyliner wins out in my head. Whether my thoughts are correct or not who knows? Planning a Disney World trip with kids is a whole different animal than my past trips with just adults or adults and teenagers and I think I am thinking way to much about every decision.

We are going back to Disney World in a few years with my family (this time we are tagging this on to the wedding of my husband's sister and spending time with his siblings) on a not so on a budget trip and we will probably stay at the Beach Club because that is what my parents will choose I think.
