Disney World & Extreme Home Makeover

We just watched this weeks Extreme Home Makeover on ABC. The Kubena family of Texas had a very sick little girl, so they couldn't go away during the construction phase. They were given a Disney World vacation to be taken sometime in the future. We figure the episode was taped last spring (2005) and were wondering if the family had gone. Does anyone know if they have visited or where we can find if they did.
We really hope that they have and that all is now well.

I don't have an answer for you but I was going to say I don't think it was filmed last spring, probably within the last couple months. When they did a house here in Bakersfield in October of 2004, it aired November 2004, so they air pretty quickly.

So I don't think they would have been able to take the trip yet.

The episode was filmed last month. At the beginning of the show Ty had Tara mark the days until she gets to go home off on her calendar, and I noticed that it was January 2006.

The next new episode to be aired was filmed in my hometown at the end of January. The opening scene takes place in the church I went to as a little girl. Talk about memories...

The Kubena family lives about 20 min. south of me. A friend of mine was a volunteer. To my knowledge, they have not planned their Disney trip. Our little part of Texas has now been featured on 2 episodes.

Maybe she was marking off the days until she could go home to be with the family?

That's the one. It was filmed in the tiny, tiny town of Dewey, OK.
