Obviously the parks will be crowded beyond words. Couple questions:

1) Does rope drop work at all or is it pointless?

2) Do any parks besides Magic ever reach capacity?

3) If Epcot reached capacity but I had an ADR for a restaurant, do I gain entrance or am I out of luck?

Yes, do rope drop, definitely worth it.

YEs, they reach capacity, but I think it's mostly MK

I think you are out of luck, you need to be in the park early if you have an ADR, but hopefully others will chime in. I think there are different phases of closure, and sometimes on holidays it is like a phase 1 or 2 where only on site guests are allowed or something like that.

That said, I envy you! I always wanted to go new years eve!

Magic Kingdom hasn't hit higher than a phase 2 closing in the past five years, and they've added capacity for 20,000 people. You won't get locked out unless they hit phase 4, but the parking lots will be full and the buses may not be running.

I don't think Epcot has ever hit any phase of closing.

1. Yes, absolutely. In fact jan 1st is an EXCELLENT rope drop day if you can make it

3. if it's a phase 4, nobody gets in. But with an ADR you'd have the same entry privileges as an on-site guest, i.e., you'll be among the very last to be locked out. However please allow plenty of extra travel time at this time of year
