I now call Chase when I am headed for Disney and tell them the dates of travel and general location. This last trip was both Disney and the Tampa area to visit friends. My son has a card on my account and he would still be using the card in RI so I asked that they put that information on the account. It saved having the account shut down which they have done in the past. A quick call reversed it but it is still a nuisance. They called and emailed about a fraud alert when someone tried to use the card for purchases in PA and Calif. the same day. I thanked the person and got the same response Chuck S did that many people are upset when they call and say it is an invasion of their privace
I will be heading to Alaska on a cruise next month and Chase will get the call before I go.

Called Chase right away and girl told me that the day after the 5 charges, there were 2 more attempts to use the card again at gas stations. Chase declined those 2 as suspicious. Funny thing is I bought groceries 5 days after that and that charge went through. I agree with the poster who said they don't consider locking your card an inconvenience. Had they declined my grocery purchase, I would have known something was fishy weeks before I got my bill.
