This will be our first cruise and we are very excited! It will be my husband and I and we will be celebrating our 5th anniversary.

Welcome and congratulations! We're kind of doing a "group celebration"--my dad's 70th birthday, my daughter's 16th birthday, and my husband and
my 18th anniversary. We're also celebrating (if all goes well), my daughter's admission into Running Start this fall.

Hello all!

This will be our first ever cruse (heck, our first ever real vacation)! We are so excited!!

I am Erin. I will be traveling with my DH and our DS 3. We are celebrating our 10 year anniversary, our recent adoption of our DS, and our first year of an actual tax refund!

We live in the Seattle area, so we are so excited about not having to travel for the cruise! We planned to take the Amtrak back down to Seattle after the cruise, but it turns out my in-laws will be in BC with their RV, so they are going to drive us back down!

Now....if only these 7 months would go a little faster!

My parents are thinking of taking a small group guided tour from Vancouver to Calgary, going through Lake Louise after the cruise. Would anybody else be interested in doing this? Slightly larger groups are usually less expensive, so if people are interested, we might be able to negotiate a discount with the tour provider.

Can't wait to see Alaska. We are doing a few days in Seattle before and a day in Vancouver after.

Our birthdays and anniversary are all within ten days of each other (late sept/early oct) so instead of gifts we do a trip every fall. I love Disney but my husband isn't a big fan of the parks. He really enjoyed the cruise last year and I got my Disney fix in too so it is a great fit!

Hi Zandra, and welcome! We went on the Vancouver to Vancouver Alaska cruise last August, and we loved it so much, we're going on this one. You'll have a fabulous time.

Welcome! My teens will be happy to hear that another teen will be sailing. I think that brings us to 4 or maybe 5 teens all together so far. Not bad for a short meet thread and a sailing which hits the beginning of the school year for most

One bit of advice for those flying in from the US or Canada--a lot of us in the Pacific Northwest (including myself) have Alaska Airlines Visa Cards. The mileage and the mileage bonuses for signing up are nice, but in a lot of ways the best thing is the $99 companion fare certificate--this is anywhere that they fly. They have a lot of departures in and out of Seattle and Vancouver. If you're flying in from the East Coast, it's worth a look.
