Haha. :flower3:

I tried to tell him how great it was but he insists that he has had enough ships and water for now. He did say he'd go to Italy with me, though! :thumbsup2

I need a new nickname. I don't like Mr. Marine. I can't even decide what to call him to his face. He said I could choose "Tom, Tommy or Thomas."
So I've been calling him "Tom, Tommy, Thomas" for a week now. :rolleyes1

LOL Again, what do men know? I used to call my hubby Matt, but now I call him whatever I feel like at the moment. Lately there's been a lot of Mr. G and Mattie. (Ooooh he LOVES it when I call him Mattie!) :hippie:

Camera update!

We went to Office Max, where I was so sure they wouldn't have one that I actually got myself in a bit of trouble when I asked for one. Since I was planning on calling Circuit City to see if they would price match, I should have just asked if they had one in stock, but instead the lady went to the back and got me a camera, only to have me change my mind when Circuit City offered to give me "110%" of the price. So I got to Circuit City and it turns out that they meant they'd give me the same price, plus take off 10% of the difference in the prices. In this case, it was $14 difference, so they gave me $1.40 off the price. Hardly worth the gas! But the bottom line is, I have my camera!!!! :dance3:

I pulled out the literature...there are 7 books. SEVEN! Three of them are in Spanish, so that leaves me four. :scared1: One is for if I want to print my pictures on a printer, so I don't have to read that right now...one says Advanced Camera Guide, so I figure I can wait to read that...

One is the software starter guide, so I guess I need to read that before I try to download to my computer. And the last one is the Basic Camera User Guide. Yikes! I'm working my way through that one, but I was running around all day so I haven't had much chance. So far, it seems pretty introductory--it has things like how to put in the batteries and the memory card, so I anticipate finishing it pretty quickly. I probably wouldn't bother to read it all, but this is an expensive camera for me and I don't want to make a mistake! I'll probably feel stupid later. :rolleyes1

Then the electricity went out (a car hit a pole) So as tired as I was I couldnt sleep (too quiet) NO FAN HUMMING!!!!! MUST HAVE FAN!!!! It finally came back on at 1:50am! Then went off again at 7:am. SOOOO I'm tired today!:upsidedow

Hello everyone! Happy Labor Day! :goodvibes

Inaugural cruise? Sounds intriguing to me!

Let's go! Lisa-- are your bags packed yet?

Speaking of bags.. I'm leaving for California Saturday morning and I've got so much to do!

I'm with ya Patsy. Bags are packed and at the door. Meet you at the Port!

Uhm... it might take me a little bit longer to get there than you... but I swear, I'm on my way! :rotfl:

You know you're disorganized whenever...

..you have to call down the list of rental car companies at the airport you're flying into because you've got no clue who you reserved through!

I finished one book and started playing with the camera. :teeth: Guess I'm not very patient. :rolleyes1

I *LOVE* this camera. It's got three different night time settings--I went out last night after bedtime to play with them! They're gorgeous! They're wonderful! They're actually noticeably different! They're very exciting!--and even though it only has 4x optical zoom and I've been told not to rely on the digital zoom, the camera has a 16x digital zoom and I took the most amazing pictures of the flowers in the garden across two streets and a drainage ditch! It has so many more features than I even knew about because they were hidden to anyone who hasn't read the instructions! I can take a panoramic shot, it has this feature where it helps you line up multiple pictures so that you can get a panoramic photo! WOW! It has a feature to take pictures of kids and pets and things that move around a lot! It has a feature specifically for making postcards! It has features I haven't even discovered yet because I haven't cracked open the advanced user guide! It's super-fantabulous! It's got a feature that adjusts for artificial light! I can't wait to take lots and lots of photos with it! I hope my two 2GB cards can hold enough photos!

 :dance3:  :dance3:

I started packing for our trip today, figuring that we are such procrastinators that it would be good to get some of it done early. 10:25pm and we're almost finished packing. Just a little bit of laundry and we're good to go. :laundy: Would it be weird to put everything in the car? Would it be weird if we rode around with our suitcases in the trunk for two weeks?

I think I'd be tempted to hit the road early if the suitcases were already in the car.:drive:

P.S. I'm up for a 2008 cruise, but I'd prefer the west coast!
