DD 8

Tae Ja, I'm 34, my hubby is 41, my DS will be 12, and my DD will be 7 (almost 8, but not quite.) Sorry! LOL :thumbsup2

You guys remember how I said they got me help with my group of girls? Well, we got there, and it turns out that they forgot to get group mothers for two groups! No one even noticed until girls started walking up to me and asking me for help. Yikes! What a night! But my girls looked very cute, I wish I could post video. :dance3: If I ever figure out how, I'll put up a picture of my baby in her recital costume. They all did very well in their white costumes, I was impressed! I guess they're starting to get old enough to be able to sit still for a while.

We started packing yesterday! Whee! My poor husband had a heart attack when I told him how close the cruise is getting. :lmao:

Okay, looking for opinions on this...

We're assigned first seating, and at the time we reserved, that made sense to us. But I've been thinking about it, and we're two hours behind Florida, so if we're assigned the 5pm dining time, we'll be eating at 3pm for us. That seems awfully early! Of course, we'll be getting up 2 hours earlier than we would at home, so that may not seem so terribly awful when we're there. (Oh boy, I hate to think of how early we'll be getting up when we get home! ) Anyone have experience with this? Should we consider switching to second seating?

Of course, if we switch to second seating, then we'll miss out on the DIS folks, so that's probably not going to happen, now that I think about it...

We put sneakers in the doorway to block the door from sliding.

Can you hear me say, oooHHooo. We had plenty of shoes stacked up under our dressing table. Gee, no need to pack another item to keep the doors from sliding. (The sliding only happened on one night).

Happy B day Kerry! I hope your having a great day!
party:

Dawn, it sounds like you changed your mind by yourself. Good b/c I was going to make you feel super guilty if you switched ;) insert evil laugh here....
We missed the fireworks and the pirates in the Carr. the first time around b/c we had late seating. I think we were just getting out of a show and saw the last flick of a firework in the sky. We rushed over to see, but by that time it was over. Boo hooo hooo! I'm not missing it this time around! :teeth:

Post you all later!

Got it! And I've added JLSE50 on the cruise list too. See posts 2337 and 2338 for the most current cruise list. Thanks Kerry for finding me the cruise list. I hate that I can't search! Grrrr. :badpc:

Hey check this out!!! Our zoo just got these and our Polar bears are coming back!!! Time to go to the zoo!!!!

AFRICAN WILD DOGS

It's getting dog-gone wild at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium, as we welcome four African wild dogs to their new home in the African Ravine, (formerly Cheetah Valley). Jasmine, the cheetah, also will have a new home just beyond the dogs. Our two males and two females are interesting and fun to watch. Some fun facts: no two dogs look alike, thanks to dappled black, yellow, and white fur patterns; African wild dogs are fast and can run up to 34 miles per hour for several miles before tiring; wild dogs are very social and live in packs of 2-to-45; they use their sense of sight, not smell, to find prey; they can not bark, but do communicate using loud yelps and quick movements; and they are endangered due to human expansion into their natural habitat. Come see the dogs later this month.

Raining here, no wind so far, tropical storm watch. We need the rain but I could do without the dreary weather. :umbrella:

Alberto will most likely stay a tropical storm. It will make landfall north of Tampa. Most likely just Rain for WDW and a little wind....

I know there are some Steeler fans here especially TaeJa

Ben Roethlisberger was in a motorcycle accident. He was NOT wearing a helmet and from what I am hearing I doubt he will ever play football again. He flipped over his bike and went through a car windshield. He broke his jaw, has many missing teeth, a 9" laceration to the back of his head and severly injured both knees!

Steelers QB In Serious Condition After Motorcycle Accident

POSTED: 12:16 pm EDT June 12, 2006
UPDATED: 3:18 pm EDT June 12, 2006

PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is in serious, but stable condition at a Pittsburgh hospital after being involved in a motorcycle accident Monday morning.

Dr. Larry Jones, chief of trauma at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, issued a statement Monday afternoon and said that Roethlisberger was "undergoing some surgery for injuries he received in this accident today.

"He is coherent, he's making sense, he knows what happened, he knows where he is. From that standpoint he is very stable."

The nature of Roethlisberger's injuries have yet to be revealed, but the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported that he suffered a broken jaw.

Witnesses said Roethlisberger's motorcycle collided with a car in downtown Pittsburgh and the quarterback flew over the handlebars and hit his head on the car's windshield.

Roethlisberger was apparently not wearing a helmet, which is not required for riders of motorcycles in the state of Pennsylvania.

Police are investigating the accident, which occurred at about 11:30 a.m. (et) at the intersection of Second Avenue and the 10th Street Bridge in downtown Pittsburgh.

Reports added that a car, with Maine license plates, was traveling in the opposite direction of Roethlisberger's motorcycle and turned left. Roethlisberger was unable to stop and hit the passenger side door.

The 24-year-old Roethlisberger helped the Steelers to the Super Bowl title last year. He completed 62.7 percent of his passes for 2,385 yards with 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions last season, his second in the league.
