Disney Wonder Sept 3-7, 2006

After some serious thought and a family discussion I have to say we have cancelled our cruise however, we're going on med cruise June 6. Now I know I signed up for the cruise meet but, I don't know if I signed up for anything else. Hope you all have a wonderful trip and I am now off to find out if anyone has started a chat for our trip.

I'm sad that you are leaving us, but am glad to know you have rescheduled your trip! Oh no, it will feel like a do-over where you have to go to the back of the line at the BMV......Maybe you'll be the thread starter!!!

Funny you should say that. The travel channel had a rerun of a the show Great Hotels where they had featured the Animal Kingdom Lodge just last week. I TIVOed it. The woman in the show stayed conceirge level. You get the better views, your own lounge with very nice food and beverage, and she went on a dawn safari ride at AK. My DH and I vowed to do this one day. It looked amazing. Go you!

Thanks for the send off and yes if does feel like we have to go to the back of the line. We suddenly went from 90 days out to 350 oh well. Still going to check on this site to get some ideas for our cruise. Hopefully you guys will post how the cruise went .

Sorry to hear that you won't be sailing with us! It would have been nice to meet in person! I'm sure it's a wonderful consolation that you have another cruise booked. That must make it alot easier! Stay well and enjoy your trip planning! We look forward to reading your posts about the wonderful cruise you'll be taking. I'm sure it will be totally amazing!

We stayed at the AKL for one day. It is beautiful! Lots of things for the kids to do! I really liked it but my heart belongs to the Wilderness Lodge!

We'll be ordering remeberance bracelets for our cruise. Please contact LCT'sMom or Blackunicorn if you are interested in placing an order for your group. The color of the bands will be lime green and the phrase will be, _ _ _ _ .


We've made a key of smilies indicating who is participating in what. There isn't any pressure to join or not join an activity. The whole point of the cruise is to have fun and relax, but wouldn't it be great to have fun and relax together?!

6/14/06Just to let you know, LCTsMom is collecting a list of detailed cruiser information (cabin #s, or at least floor locations) and cell phone numbers. Why cell phone numbers? So that we can be in contact with you if you are traveling. And if we have any eminent weather prior to embarking the Wonder all the more reason to be in contact with one another. Right?

Ideally, if one or two of you could be in contact with DCL (since one may not get the same answer from one DCL agent) He/she will start the calling tree to communicate with those on the detailed list. Do you catch what I am saying? I hope I'm typing this right.

For instance, if Piecey could be our DCL person (since she's already in FLA) she would call me and who ever and then the two of us would call down our list. Kinda like a pyramid scheme, but I promise not to sell you any thing.

Is anybody doing any excursions on cc. I am so undecided.

We all just love the beach so much and enjoy the sand and water I don't want to "waste" too much beach time on excursions,but some of them sound like fun. My 11 year old wants to do the banana boat ride, jet ski thingie, parasailing, and sting ray thingie That girl needs to get a job Last year we didn't do any excursions at all or make it to serenity beach, or grouper pavillion, or scuttles cove and we were still one of the last ones back on the ship. I did shop at sea shells though .

I'd actually would like to snorkel at CC. Its not often I can be in that clear of water and actually see sea life etc. I'd love to see the Mickey statue and the submarine. I liked the bike ride. It was interesting riding bikes w/ the kids on the back. We hid in the shade under the shelter and played checkers.

I've definately got to remember to put shoes on my kids b/c I think they went barefoot and the ground was very hot. Water shoes, sandals, clogs some thing to protect them. I was a bad and guilty mom that day.
