Heidi, I didn't have your email address so I emailed Holly and explained the nightshirt issue to her to ask your parents. I feel like such a bonehead doing this but I don't know what else to do.
Oh no Lisa it's totally cool. I'm sure my parents would love to help you and Teia out. :goodvibes

Ohhhh man you're right. At first I thought it was a pretty awesome idea when they mentioned doing it as a family (I keep trying to get close to them, they ARE my parents.. but so far I have always failed)...then I realized how akward I would probably feel, but if I did it with you guys it would be easy to just excuse myself and party on down (Since I could totally and completely partake in all the fun!) :rotfl:
I think they'd mostly keep to themselves anyway, so it wouldn't be a major deal. Just weird.. They've pretty much been without their parental duties since I got a car. I remember my mom's sisters calling me around my 17th birthday and telling me how upset my mom was that I started doing everything myself. The only time we were really together in my teenage years was I went to one of my various Doctors appointments. At that point, though, I'd even started to make my own appointments and took myself, paid the copay and made sure the receipt got to the insurance company to come outta my dad's healthcare reimbursement. I saw it as relieving her, but she got upset! I ended up asking her to come with me to my surgeon appointment in Kentucky and we had a pretty cool little two days, so who knows what a Disney cruise would do!

((sorry that I just spouted off a lot of pointless family junk  ))

spout away our friend... :grouphug: its amazing what a little commuication can do between parent and child or parent, child, and aunt.... hope you keep building bridges with your parents. :thumbsup2

btw, good night all, glad I checked in. I could hear the tapity tap tap upstairs as I was putting away laundry that my MIL so graciously has been washing since we got home. :worship: LOVE YOU MOM!

Did anyone watch House tonight? I am watching it right now!

OOH LOOK at my post count 1234! :rotfl:
Normally I love House, but lately the show has been grossing me out. Squeemish and every thing....so, I watch the earlier episodes on USA. I'm such a wuss.

So, Mom of 2 princess: princess: , did you get any autographs as you were out smoking with the DCL staff? I"m a little jealous. :smooth: How cool to be talking normal to them instead of them being in character.

Ok., I'm really logging off now, my light should fade to purple, blue, whatever, any color but green.

You know, the good thing is that you'll see things differently as an adult than you did as a kid. Take the good, and if it starts to turn bad, get out of the situation and realize that there is nothing you can do to change them. I think you've got a great head on your shoulders and a great attitude! That's all it takes to be happy. You don't need to let anyone drag you down. Maybe a Disney cruise will be the right thing to help you guys get closer. If it doesn't work, at least you know you tried. :grouphug:

Thanks :)

You guys are my cheerleaders! :cheer2:

Bed.. straight 9-5s this week on top of BK and catching up with school is slowly draining me.. and *GASP* I'm falling (and staying) asleep easily! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

If you can't spout off about family here, then what good are we? Women friends LISTEN to each other. It does not have to make sense, we still listen. We don't give you a solution unless you ask for one, we let you vent. That's what women friends DO!!
Jan :earsgirl:

PS: We had trouble getting DH into EPCOT on Friday--the ticket did not work with his finger print for some reason. So I went to Guest services to get it fixed and the man had on an INAUGURAL CRUISE PIN!!! I commented on it and asked if he had been on the Inaugural Cruise and he said Yes. I was ready to tell him to be sure he never traded the pin away as it was so special when he unpinned it and handed it TO ME!! I was puzzled :confused3 and said so. He said that in all the years he has worn it, no one else ever recognized it or commented on it, so now it was mine!! My new favorite pin!

Sorry you're feeling crappy! I was wondering how your visit to the dentist went. I am totally dentist-phobic!

yeah i hate the dentist. i actually don't mind the drilling and the cavity filling. i HATE the shots. that's the worst part. but once you get through that it's nothing.
