Disney Wonder Sept 3-7, 2006 Part 3

I have to work today, Wednesday and Thursday this week and Monday Tuesday next week. Then I am on VACATION!!!!!!!!

I dont know if I'll be able to pop in tonight! Mondays are usually pretty bad!

This hurricane talk is bringing back memories. We did the 3 night cruise in Sept 2004, after Charlie and Frances, just before Jeanne. Frances had caused damage to Ron Johns so they cancelled our one day stay before the cruise. We had some damage ourselves to be cleaning up and didn't feel the need to reschedule somewhere else on Cocoa Beach. Jeanne was looming and there was talk of sailing out of Ft Laud instead of Port Canaveral. Jeanne seemed to peter out and we were able to cruise and enjoy a break from hurricane drama. Jeanne was just "stalling" and when we got back from cruise, reorganized and did a number on Vero Beach. [I did think it was "nice" that Jeanne waited for us to have our cruise.] After Frances and Jeanne, I wasn't too scared of little Wilma coming in from the other coast, we put our shutters up at the last minute. Well, here's to new respect for a Cat 1, various roof/lanscaping damage that is all minor in the end but it completely distroyed our screened in patio. I was lucky, contracted quickly for it to be fixed........ back in Oct 2005............. the men are working today on the patio, just in time, potentially, for another hurricane. We've "lost" 10 months of our pool time so it will be nice for the kids to get it back.

I'll supply cell phone and probably Vero Beach hotel number (Disney) if we don't have to cancel that. (Any threat and that starter vacation day will probably be replaced with hurricane shutter installation.) My sprint service was not good at Disney Vero on the last visit even w/o hurricane issues.

This morning I condensed the "big book" (pictures,menus etc..) into a "small book" with just important stuff for actual travel. My neighbor who is going too (park only) laughs at me...as they are a seat of their pants type planners...a true odd couple of sorts.

Bill, what in the world do you mean by "condense into a small book?" I don't understand this concept as I must break my shoulder carrying on oversized heavy book full of info that I will never look at on the trip!

Just to chime in on the phone list tree (now that everyone has left) - Disney sends me an email if the weather looks daunting (or at least they did a few weeks ago), so if I get anything I'll call a trunk, or branch, or apple, or what ever it is that I should call.

How weird my light is out and I am right here. Did anyone here about classes being cancelled at Virginia Tech because of a shooting? I don't think the girls here were going to that school but just curious if you heard about it.

I am sure my son thinks that it is me e-mailing him and not really you. I always kid him about being on myspace....

I just spoke to Lewis. Your photo and the "my dad hates me" reference are not connected . It's related to the "getting him out of the house part",and he says he does not think I hate him..He is alot like me, joking around sometimes and some people do not realize it..
