Do you guys pack a lunch for your kids or let them buy? My DD always used to buy but last year started complaining so now we are packing.

DS is a picky eater so I get the monthly menu and pack on the days he doesn't like what they are serving

You girls will still have fun without the alcohol. Just think you'll get to watch some of the rest of us act like idiots!!!!

so true so true!!!!

Can you imagine that converstion: "Hey mom, some of the Diser's are planning to bring a whole liquor store on the cruise. They said if you sign a permission slip, I could be 21. What do you think?"

Her mom was probably thinking "I have to get those girls off that cruise meet board!"

See I'm just kidding I would never get like that in front of my kids or on a cruise ship. Just a couple of drinks to have fun but nothing stupid!!!! :goodvibes

ditto. I gave that up in college.

Okay one time after my brothers wedding but DS was with the parents and I was with all my childhood buddies reliving the glory days! I paid the price in the morning!

I was a young girl and I begged my dad and mom if we could go to Disneyland. Finally, they relented and we took off. We got off the 605 and was almost to the exit for Disneyland. I could see the tops of the rides and every thing (o.k, my memory might be a little fuzzy right here), but I was soooo excited to go... Well, the traffic hardly moved even in the late 70's. There must've been an accident or some thing. My dad finally said, Tae we're not going to make it today. I started bawling my eyes out. Crying, why can't we go? Can we go another way? What a lovely memory huh? i've got happier ones of course, but this one seems to be sticking out in my mind for some reason.

That's sad! :grouphug:
My parents never took me to Disneyland or WDW. I had to wait till I had kids and go!

In the car ride to school this morning, DS said "I wish it was Saturday!" I chuckled and said "So does Mommy"

Then he says "Actually, I wish it was the day we leave to go on the cruise!"

:lmao: So does Mommy!

Nope! I think they have food poisoning! They both ate the same pizza Sunday and yesterday.

That is the most horrible feeling. I hope they get better soon pixiedust:

awww so sad. we went for the first time in 2004. we were supposed to go to disney world that weekend but because of the hurricanes all the airports were closed. so we ended up in california on the spur of the moment. and then we went out there again this summer to see what all they were doing for the celebration. their fireworks were the best thing i've ever seen! it was so cool how the 'traveled around the park' (each part what themed to one of the rides, it was cool). and tinkerbell flies back and forth and up and down... not just from the top of the castle like at disney world! and their space moutain is AMAZING!

anyways... taeja your story made me think of a jack handy saying...
one thing kids like is to be tricked for instance i was going to take my little nephew to disneyland but instead i drove him to an old burned-out warehouse 'oh no' i said 'disneyland burned down' he cried and cried but i think that deep down he thought it was a pretty good joke i started to drive over to the real disneyland but it was getting pretty late - jack handy
Holly, why would you share that? I've already told you that's a very mean thing to do! :sad2:
