I think sometimes my mom was happier when school came back around.LCTsMom said:I hear ya! Even as a parent I hate the going-back part! ICK!

Very true...although I have seen some scary things too... One night my one friend just got REALLY mad...I told her I liked her hat and she started yelling at me. The next day they decided it was the aristocrat...it made everyone really mad at the party.![]()

I think tomorrow I'll bite the bullet and take him to the doctor. I never know when it's bad enough to take them. Sometimes, it's a virus and they won't prescribe anything anyway. I hate seeing him so uncomfortable though. It's like this guessing game, do you wait and see if it improves or just jump the gun and take them in? Always a dilemma! Judging by his appearance, it doesn't look like he's improving so why prolong it?
He's in middle school but he has duel enrollment at the high school for Spanish. He rides the high school bus in with Logan, takes Spanish 1st period, and then waits at his school's before school program for TWO HOURS before his school starts. He doesn't want to miss that Spanish class! He wants to go in early, go to Spanish, and then have me pick him up and take him to the doctor. The doctor's office won't even be open until after he's done with that class so if he can stand it, he could pull it off without a problem.
I think it was very, very rare that I got my entire full name. We're talking once or twice my entire life time. Or maybe I'm imagining the whole thing and I've never had the full name.purplern said:adding the last name you're already 6 feet under.

Oh yeah...it's because they were the times that I got in trouble!![]()

Dang! 26 days total?? Woooww...I only skipped once and it wasn't my fault and it was only one class and it was a half day. Although I did get pulled out for a lot of vacations and hunting for colleges.Piecey said:I'm really glad schools have programs like that.
I got to take Algebra AND Spanish at the high school in 8th grade because I tested high enough and my 7th grade teacher signed off on me being capable of it.
As I got older, everything got easy. So I stopped going to class but still passed so I didn't care. I wish they'd had more things like that as I got older.
I went to 26 days of high school my senior year. No lie, found my report card the other day.
I still graduated with a 3.57 cum GPA... in the top quarter of my class.
To me that is just sad. I know I'm an intelligent girl but it just seems like there should have been something there to keep me wanting to go to school, something for the smarter people like me to keep us interested. But there wasn't... I was realllly close to dropping out because I was tired of them getting on me about attendance
Oh, and I went to a "WV School of Excellence".. which means it's one of the best schools in the state..

I love the peace & quiet when they're all at school (for the short amount of time between when the last one leaves and the first one gets home) but I hate the routines...the bed times, the homework, the reading, the TRYING TO WAKE THEM UP!PirateCutie05 said:

My mom never got on my case about homework during high school...which might actually be a bad thing!LCTsMom said:I love the peace & quiet when they're all at school (for the short amount of time between when the last one leaves and the first one gets home) but I hate the routines...the bed times, the homework, the reading, the TRYING TO WAKE THEM UP!

Lisa I hope Connor is ok!!! Let us know what the Doctor says!
I am with you! I like being able to go places and do things. No homework or getting up early. Now we have to have a routine everyday.LCTsMom said:I love the peace & quiet when they're all at school (for the short amount of time between when the last one leaves and the first one gets home) but I hate the routines...the bed times, the homework, the reading, the TRYING TO WAKE THEM UP!

That's awesome! I am glad that Conor is interested in taking advantage of the opportunity. He had Algebra Honors last year in 7th grade. He actually begged for the Geometry Honors class that he's in this year. There are kids in 11th grade that aren't on his math level! If he can continue like this he'll have some great opprtunties in his future! I am in awe! It's also wonderful that his school is able to accomodate him with these advanced classes. There is a high population of kids who are in similar situations. It's amazing.Piecey said:I'm really glad schools have programs like that.
