I second the above.
Maybe 1 pair of capri pants, for the evenings. You should be fine in shorts though. I wore mostly skirts last time and they were perfect, and brought a pair of shorts and a pair of capris as "just in cases" - ended up wearing EVERYTHING in my overpacked suitcase too! :rotfl:
I thought I would bring one pair of black capris for pirate night.

I guess I should go back to the dollar store and get more? I only bought 4. :rotfl:

We'll be soaking wet, I haven't bought any. :sad2:

I am supposed to be:

cleaning..... :rotfl:
paying bills..... :rotfl2:
walking the dogs...... :lmao:

Eh. It's payday Friday and I'm comfortable in this chair. Everything else can wait.

(picture dogs with their legs crossed while I casually sip tea and hit refresh)

I love payday. We get paid on the 1st and 16th so I will get paid right before the cruise! :cheer2: :woohoo:

SoFL and the Bahamas are always hot, except for a break Dec-Feb. You don't get the crazy 100's temps some of the country gets during the summer b/c of the ocean breezes. August and Sept seem the hottest months to me. If the sun is out, you will be hot and wet with sweat, best to figure out how to embrace it. If you are outside and not hot, its raining on you, you are wet with rain. You could keep doing stuff were it not for the killing lightening. The rain cools things a bit but as soon as the sun comes back out you have muggy humid heat. Best bet is get wet and be a shade seeker to stay cool. Very easy to get dehydrated when alchohol is involved, I try to make water the every other drink of choice.

Well put. I'm setting aside weather friendly clothes...

Good to know. We get really hot but not humid and that does it to me.

Lori, think of the heat and humidity after a hot shower. The air is thick and you're already starting to perspire. Welcome to the midwest to Eastern heat. I'll take the dry desert heat any day.

Yeah no doubt. I don't do well in humidity.

I do not agree with all of his points or hers, but I do believe that a mother's/wife's participation in the home is extremely important to the success of the marriage and the well being of the children.. Females have the ability to keep the smaller (not less important) more detailed aspects of the home/relationship intact and working smoothly. Men (me) have a tendancy to think on a more macro scale... The correct combination works very well.

Leaving detailed and repetitive tasks to men= disaster... We do not do that very well...

Most people fight over two things money and sex..Often, these two issues are tied indirectly to your career, thus it sometimes becomes one giant mess.

I do not think work has anything to do with it, as long as the proper amount of time by both parties is dedicated in some capacity to the home and family. Things seem to start to breakdown when this becomes too far out of balance.

Amen to that!
I love DH with all my heart, but I am the one who makes the day-to-day life go smoothly. He is great with future plans, and deciding where to vacation, and planning changes to the house, etc....but I'm the one who does the little things you need to do to get it started.

I totally agree about balance. We have a very open communication policy, we talk about everything from our hearts even if we think it's silly, because then we always know where the other is coming from, and we respect each other enough to find a happy compromise on any issues.

I am amazed every day that so few couples work like we do. Guess that's why the divorce rate is so high? Some good friends of mine are about to get divorced, and they have only been married for 8 months. Wow. :confused3

I don't know what my point was there! Let me get back to catching up

Can you add this to your Star Wars vasectomy sublimal speech?

I learned a valuable lesson the first go round. Find someone with the same thoughts about money, saving, investing etc.

As for the sex, tell me I am beautiful, give me lots of hugs and kisses, put the toilet seat down and HELP (not do everything) around the house/with the kids and you will get it at least three times a week! ;) :thumbsup2

I told DH that emptying the dishwasher is the equivalent of foreplay to me.
