Lisa Thanks again for the link for the pillowcases!!!! She just emailed me and said she'll be shipping it out in 4 days after payment clears!!!!!!! I got DD one with the Little Mermaid. She doesnt know we are doing this so she is going to be soooooooo surprised. We also got her a Graduate Minnie in a tropical outfit to give to her our last night when she graduates from D Sea U! :woohoo:
Glad I could help. They're just too cute not to share! We had a tough time trying to decide who to have embroidered on the cases though. First DD wanted Cinderella (because she has two different Cindy dresses that she's wearing to dinner), then she said Ariel because that's her favorite princess (this week :rotfl: ), then she wanted Minnie 'cause she's a classic and then her pillow case will "match" Ethan & Dylan's Mickey cases. (They live in MA and we are in FL, why they need to match is beyond me!) Now she saw her brothers' skull & crossbones and she wants THAT. Oh well, maybe next time. This time it's Minnie all the way!

KIDS! :rotfl:

I think I'd really like to rent a kayak as well. I want to check out the Flying Dutchman up close. I wonder how close you can actually get to it?

That will be neat! Here's what Disney's site says:

Flying Dutchman Pirate Ship

The pirate ghost ship, The Flying Dutchman, from Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest has landed and made Disney's Castaway Cay its new home. Enjoy the view of this magnificent vessel as you walk the path to Castaway Family Beach, or take a water excursion and get an unforgettable up-close look.

As if raised from the ocean floor, with ragged sails and a barnacle-encrusted bow, this 175-foot long pirate ghost ship is actually a prop from the hit film that appears to be destined to haunt the open seas for all eternity. Stay alert and you may catch a glimpse of the infamous Captain Jack Sparrow on the lookout for the commander of the Flying Dutchman, his new nemesis, Davey Jones.

We bring our own so we can use them at Serenity Bay and on excursions. They do take up luggage space though.

What happened with the trip to Target for the boots?

What kind of camera Kerry? By the way, I didn't take a pic of the bracelet, I scanned it on my scanner. :lmao: Whatever works right?

That little tiny Sony camera. It's the size of a credit card. It has lots of bells and whistles. I took pictures of DS's b-day party but haven't looked at it since. Need to find time this weekend

that would be cool too! we're doing the banana boat. finally after 3 cruises. first cruise it was full. second cruise no one was allowed in the water the day we were at castaway cay cause the predator neats had been down the night before and they didn't know what was in the water. 3rd cruise all boat excursions were cancelled cause of the wind.

last night i went and saw pirates again (5th time... yes i know i'm crazy). but it was my friends' first time. they just got back from their disney cruise. halfway through the movie my friend looks at me and says... hey! that's the boat they have on castaway cay :rotfl2:
My sons, 13 & 15 are scheduled to do the banana boat. Looks like a blast! I'd be doing it with them if my DD6 was able to. I hate for her to miss out so I'll wait. There HAS to be a next time for us! :cloud9:

I've seen Pirates twice...I want to see it again, you're not crazy at all (or I'm crazy with ya! pirate: ) I am looking forward to seeing it on board and then seeing the Dutchman! Whoohoo!!! pirate: pirate: pirate:

Sounds really cool! Keep playing with it so you're really comfortable with it come cruise time.

I am trying to get the money together to buy 2gb of memory for mine. I know I'll use it!

I hear ya!!!!!! When DD was 2 we watched Cinderella every night for 6 months. It got to the point where we could spot some mistakes in the animation! Then she switched to Sleeping Beauty. DD likes all the princesses but I think Ariel a little more!!!

PREDATOR NETS!?!?!? What's that?

:rotfl2: about your friend recognizing the Flying Dutchmen after seeing it on CC. Many of us will recognize it after seeing it in the movie. :rotfl2:

cool. yeah i want to get more certifications and what not. it's so much fun! even though all i've done it in so far is a pool and a lake. i can't wait to actually go somewhere fun! my sister and i got certified for the cruise at christmas time. we never really thought to do it on this cruise because we were planning on swimming with the dolphins but i think that's booked. and i think the dive might be full too. but everyone keeps talking about getting a room at atlantis. so i think that's what i want to do. my other sister told me it was stupid to pay like $120 just to go on some waterslides. but i was like fine you don't have to come... now i just need someone to explain to me how that whole atlantis thing works :rotfl:

Here's the deal. You can visit Atlantis and use the entire hotel except the aquarium (have to pay admission fee), the pools (yes plural) and the beach. Go to DCL, the beach excursion itself if very expensive. The Atlantis aquarium is too. If you get a room you have access to all of it. If I wasn't swimming with the Dolphins I would go with you. $150 is a great deal for 4 ppl (max in a room) The pools have waterslides. One of the slides is enclosed and you slide through the shark tank (from the aquarium) If you have the cash I would go for it. It is an amazing resort. The food is expensive so I wouldn't eat there. Not sure the cost of getting from the ship to the hotel. You could always bring snacks with you.

My DH is certified. He's going in Nassau. He wants DD and I to get certified. I'm thinking about it!
Do it! Logan wants to get his certification too. It's funny though, the diving here on west coast of FL isn't too great so I told him to hold off on his certification until he's old enough to travel so he can actually USE it! I would love to get recertified. I miss it!

i ended up not having time yesterday. trying to meet my mom for lunch and then there was a problem at one of the bars i had to go fix that took a little longer than i thought it would take. and there isn't a target near arundel mills in baltimore where i ended up last night. but i will get there hopefully sometime today. might be hard to do though! might just have to wait till tomorrow.

yeah i'm definitely bringing mine i think. i don't plan on packing tons of stuff. i learned last september that i don't need very many clothes as i spent almost the entire cruise in just my suit. and i had a thing for not wearing shoes. the only time i wore shoes was on key west and to dinner. the rest of the time i went barefoot or in socks. that was fun, going down to the movie theater in socks. hehehe. so there should be plenty of room for my mask and snorkel!

cool thanks! i will get my dad to call today. if not i will call and do it myself. yeah i've wanted to go ever since my senior year of high school. my friend was down there when the ball dropped in 2000 and she came back with pictures and stories. i've been dying to go ever since. and yeah... $150 isn't bad at all if you think that there are excursions that are close to $100 anyways. and if we split it up between all of us that's definitely not a lot of money! now i'm assuming when you get there you have to check into the hotel? like go to the desk and do all that stuff... what about 'check out'?

DH seems to enjoy it and one of the Doctors at work like it too! I want to wait until DD can do it too!

Stupid me, I have my heart set on this "EXTREME" 2gb. I am all about the ultra fast speed. Of course it's $149...which seems to always be the case with me. :rotfl2: That's why I'm always broke!

Thanks for that link though, I will be hanging onto that one! :thumbsup2

I gotta pisdapeer (as my kids would say for a while). I gotta get ready. Can some one let me know if my light turns red while I'm gone? Logging out ...now
