gooooooooooood morning everyone!

i feel so ahead of the game this morning. i did my run, i've taken my shower, i'm about to go eat breakfast... and all will be done before the time i woke up yesterday :woohoo:
haha

and boy is it a good thing it didn't rain last night! i didn't shut the windows or sunroof on my car when i got home from work. and usually if they're open someone tells me so i can go back out and shut them. well i walked outside this morning, looked at dory and was like hmmm that's not good at all! they were open all night. and then as i was doing my cool down my mom pulls up next to me, 'did you know your windows are open?' haha thanks mom!

I am on page 482, post 7216. You all are way ahead of me!!
I want to thank lunamum for writing. She had some good ideas for me to pursue in relations to Mother.

I also want to be sure that you all know I am not being put-upon by my siblings. I am afraid that my previous posts might have made it sound like I am the victim here.

We are beyond independent care and my siblings have actually been really good about being Mother's 24/7 caregivers for over two years. All I did was some respite time a couple times. I got off easy.

The hard part about the change now was that this hit me suddenly. I was thinking that things are moving in one direction and really they were thinking that a different direction woule be better for Mom. It is my turn and they are more right than I so that makes me feel guilty--make sense?

It took me about 48 hours to get my act together and now I am pretty well set. That time included prayer and phone calls. I have some great resources but always appreciate more info and ideas.

Thanks again for your written and prayer support. If anyone has written to me on the Thread since the posts above, maybe someone could PM me with the post # so I can check them out. I doubt if I will have time before the cruise to read all the fun chatter here. I will miss that. This has been a relaxation event for me.

My best to all,
Jan :earsgirl:

I am sure everyone has heard about this already, but due to the UK threat all US airport security levels have been increased, which means extra time at the airport..
The U.S. government raised its threat level early Thursday to "severe or red," the highest level for commercial flights from Britain to the United States. It also stepped up the general level of security for all flights within the United States to Orange.

I haven't read too much about it. but it said no beverages were being served. What about water? Can you imagine being on a 10-12+ hour flight w/o having any liquid? Is there a catagory of beverages they're removing?

I don't think that will mean extra time at the Wilmington airport. I've flown out of there twice and I've never had to wait in a *line*...there were 2 or 3 people in front of me once. :rotfl: My mom doesn't believe me that I could get there half an hour before boarding and be fine. There's only 6 gates...there could never be more than a 5-10 minute line! :rotfl:

Good morning all,

Well Emily had a good B-Day! Let's hope nothing comes up next week as far as weather. I am glad they got those guys but now more time at the airport! :furious: Yeah! We are flying out of LAX can you say busy? Actually they are a pretty organized place for so much traffic.

Per CNN Bulletin:
Gov. Schwarzenegger activates National Guard troops to bolster security at California airports because of the London airline terror plot, The Associated Press reports.
