I am sitting in the Baltimore, Maryland airport and while Tom is doing the Sudoku from the in-flight magazine I am discovering how much of this thread I had not read and glad we are at least somewhat in touch on Facebook.
.
Thanks again to Patsy for house and baby photos on FB, to the SuperPoke Pet friends for getting me hooked on a new addiction and for the
DCL updates you all post from time to time.
.
Great trip report Vicki! Short but detailed! Will you do Seattle before or after the Alaska cruise?
.
I still did not find DCL on Facebook, or if I did, I forgot. Where is it and how time consuming is it?
.
We had 3 WDW days on old tickets and a raft of admissions to waterparks or (the now extinct) Pleasure Island so flew down for Tom's birthday as that would be a free entrance. We have not been to WDW since THIS cruise. (Three years ago!!)
.
We enjoyed favorites in EPCOT and MK. Ate at Ohana and were underwhelmed. Toured the new DVC Bay Lake Towers and were underwhelmed--too much orange and not enough space. Glad we own at OKW and since we enjoyed the Tree House for one night before the Sept Cruise this year, we see that as a good option for family gatherings.
.
This trip we stayed at Beach Club Villas for the first time. It was nice. Stormalong Bay was fun too. We would have gone there this morning before heading home but it did not open until 10 so we would have been pressed for time. We enjoyed the pool close to our room and hot tub instead.
.
Pluses on length of stay passes now include Oak Trail 9 hole golf course between the Magnolia and Palm. This was Tom's first golf outing since his open heart surgery. 9 holes was about perfect. He had a couple sand traps to rake--wish I'd know that was going to stress the chest muscles as I would have done it. Golf was prohibited while breastbone healed--3 months they said--he made it 12 weeks--technically they wanted 13.
.
Hoping you all are well!
Jan
