Disney Wonder Sept 3-7,2006 Part 2

So what is the next adventure, Vicki?

You do much more exciting vacations than I.

When is France again?

So what is the next adventure, Vicki?

You do much more exciting vacations than I.

When is France again?

France got pushed back to ether 2011 or 2012, I want to make sure we have enough money for that one, unless of course the new cruise itinerary is good then we'll have to get a cruise in there somewhere. I think next year will be WDW! We havent been there in a while and those couple of days last year made everyone want to go. We will probably be staying at "our home" Saratoga Springs-hopefully the Tree house villas!!!!

I am sitting in the Baltimore, Maryland airport and while Tom is doing the Sudoku from the in-flight magazine I am discovering how much of this thread I had not read and glad we are at least somewhat in touch on Facebook.
.
Thanks again to Patsy for house and baby photos on FB, to the SuperPoke Pet friends for getting me hooked on a new addiction and for the DCL updates you all post from time to time.
.
Great trip report Vicki! Short but detailed! Will you do Seattle before or after the Alaska cruise?
.
I still did not find DCL on Facebook, or if I did, I forgot. Where is it and how time consuming is it?
.
We had 3 WDW days on old tickets and a raft of admissions to waterparks or (the now extinct) Pleasure Island so flew down for Tom's birthday as that would be a free entrance. We have not been to WDW since THIS cruise. (Three years ago!!)
.
We enjoyed favorites in EPCOT and MK. Ate at Ohana and were underwhelmed. Toured the new DVC Bay Lake Towers and were underwhelmed--too much orange and not enough space. Glad we own at OKW and since we enjoyed the Tree House for one night before the Sept Cruise this year, we see that as a good option for family gatherings.
.
This trip we stayed at Beach Club Villas for the first time. It was nice. Stormalong Bay was fun too. We would have gone there this morning before heading home but it did not open until 10 so we would have been pressed for time. We enjoyed the pool close to our room and hot tub instead.
.
Pluses on length of stay passes now include Oak Trail 9 hole golf course between the Magnolia and Palm. This was Tom's first golf outing since his open heart surgery. 9 holes was about perfect. He had a couple sand traps to rake--wish I'd know that was going to stress the chest muscles as I would have done it. Golf was prohibited while breastbone healed--3 months they said--he made it 12 weeks--technically they wanted 13.
.
Hoping you all are well!
Jan

That's our home resort!:goodvibes We also have points at Saratoga, but my mom's favorite will probably always be the Beach Club! I can't wait to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas though, should be amazing!:goodvibes

I am totally in love with the Boardwalk now.

Is Boardwalk DVC? Can I try to convince DH to buy into a resale? lol. Things I need to look into!

Our home is Saratoga-havent stayed there yet!
We stayed at Animal Kingdom 1 night before we were DVC it is awesome!!!!

I think it is! I think you can!!;)

Yes the Boardwalk does have DVC Villas! We haven't stayed in them personally but I do think we took a tour over there. Since the list became too long to fit in my signature I can recap which ones we have stayed in.:goodvibes First ever were the villas at the Beach Club, then we tried the Villas at the Wilderness Lodge which it was nice over there just the pool was a little...eh...:rotfl: We've stayed at Old Key West (which I think I might have to agree with Jan...they are pretty much the best. They have a different layout from the rest of the villas and I feel like they are a bit roomier.) as well as Saratoga Springs. The thing I like about Saratoga is that you can walk to Downtown Disney.:goodvibes I think we are hoping to get points at the Hawaii resort so cross your fingers for us!!!:goodvibes

Good Luck!!! We pushed our Hawaii vacation back until Disney's resort opens!!

Crap, I'm behind.

Disney is doing a resort in Hawaii?

I'm in!

I am on vacation standstill right now, though. Time to build up a hefty savings accounts so that when the offspring are old enough to appreciate trips we can GO!!!
