Tom wants to match the crib to the paint (and the door! The room we're using for the nursery doesn't have a door-- we need to get on that PRONTO!) so it should be here in a few weeks so we can start painting!

Seems crazy early to me but know he wants to paint and all that BEFORE we move in.. so.. oh well.
Sorta nice to spread out the cost, too. Babies are expensive. Which you all know.

Yeah it's better to paint now before you put all your furniture in and stuff. It's a pain in the bum to move everything around to paint. Not to mention it takes FOREVER...

Never experienced that, but
Your digestive system starts in your mouth...
if your stomach is on hyperdrive you are nauseated.
If your mouth is on hyperdrive you gag easily.

Sounds logical to me.

Anyone experience it?

Well, this is true. Long time to plan and think about names..

I'm trying to find a crib right now. Tom wants to match the paint for the nursery walls (the brown criss cross stripes I was talking about earlier) to the crib. So I need to find a crib.
Seems a bit early to me but I understand his thoughts. Try to make as much match as possible and he wants to get Tony in there to paint before we move in... so I am crib hunting.

I'm sucking it up and going to buy maternity clothes this afternoon.
After brushing my teeth made me gag and get sick, I got heartburn in the middle of the afternoon after doing nothing (all I ate was an apple) and all my pants are pretty uncomfy... it's time to admit it. There is a baby in my belly and I need appropriate clothing.

Why did I resist? Let's talk about comfy! I might not ever stop wearing maternity clothes!
I got a pair of Jeans, Cords, and a nice 1/2 sleeve shirt for $30+change.
Gotta love $10 off a $10 purchase cards from JCPenny!!

Almonds --with the brown layer on, not the blanched white ones -- are natural antacids. I kept some in my purse all the time in a tiny Tupperware container. Chewed them up to paste before swallowing. Two usually did the trick but sometimes I needed four.

I am going to hunt down my MIL and lay into her.
Seriously. If she didn't live an hour away and it wasn't pouring down snow, we'd be having words. And it wouldn't end pretty.

She is trying to have a birthday party for Tom's grandmother on Thursday (I'll be gone- so I have no part in anything to do with this party, I've never been mentioned or ANYTHING)
She wants to have it at 2:30, an hour and a half from here. Tom works 8 hours a day. He's not willing to take last minute leave for a party that could easily be schedule in the evening so he could attend. He told his mom even if he got up at 4am to walk Rink and got to work he wouldn't get out until 2:30 in the afternoon and it'd still take him 1.5 hours to get there (weather permitting)
So she's PISSED pretty much and says "Just bring the dog with you and we'll chain him up in the backyard."
Tom said "No, mom. I'm not bringing the dog." (Rightly so- Rink doesn't know these people and it's SNOWING. He's a temperature sensitive breed and cannot be left in the snow-- besides, that is just CRUEL! My dad also offered to drive a half hour here to walk Rink that night so Tom could leave after work, so my family is at least TRYING to help out!)

So she goes "Well, why not?" He said "He's tempermental mom, that's not right to do."
She goes
"LIKE YOUR WIFE."


.....


WHO does this woman think she is?? That is clearly uncalled for, as I was not even a part of this conversation!!
And WHAT makes her think that I would ever trust her with my child? If she can say horrible things like that to my husband, who clearly loves me and chose to be with me, why would I trust her not to say stupid crap like that to my KID? Hearing that upsets Tom almost as much as it PISSES ME OFF.
