Disney Wonder Sept 3-7,2006 Part 2

Yes...Holly is the oldest. And I am the youngest. We are the bookends.:goodvibes I don't blame you. No one really knows but us I think!:rotfl: I usually just say "my sister" and "my other sister" to people and one day I said I bet that is confusing to you guys huh? And my friends were like yeah and I said but if I used their names you really wouldn't know who I was talking about then, either!:rotfl: All the H's...people get confused...:confused3 :rotfl2:

Our boys are 4 years apart--on purpose. One in diapers at a time. I had TIME with each of them when they were preschoolers. They have always gotten along. They had their issues at times but they live near each other now and do stuff together still.

I think how much you do with your siblings not only has to do with your stage of life but also your personality. Some people with the same parents do not have meshing personalities.

My brother is single. Always wanted a wife and kids but did not find anyone he could commit to for life. He spends a lot of time with my sister, BIL and their kids. He never spent as much time with us. We get along fine when we are together, we just don't plan it the way they do.

But we are family!
.

Hey, it can't be any worse than this family I went to school with.
They had ::

Kristopher
Kimberly
Kathryn
Kenton
Kyler

:sad2: Now see with names like that and that many you KNOW it's planned!:rotfl: Of course I guess you would think that with us... But it wasn't! Like I said, I was gonna be a boy and my name was going to be Peter Matthew. No H there.:p

My boys are 2 years apart. They've always been really close. Now it seems, almost too close at times. They bicker more now than ever before, but they have the same circle of friends and I think there's too much competition. Next year, after Logan has graduated, I'm sure the dynamic will change. I'm curious to see how things will differ. There are 7 years between the middle and youngest. (Different marriage, wasn't planned that way.) They adored her when she was little and now, for the most part, they're awesome with her. Again, it will be interesting to see what they're like when they're older.

DH comes from a family of 5. They like to think they're close but I find their relationships to be strained and unpleasant. I don't care to be around them. :lmao: I hope to God my kids will be closer. Perhaps it's the upbringing.....(just saying is all ;) ). I'm an only. I think I would have enjoyed a sibling. It is what it is though.

Heidi. Hate to break it to you but there is an H in Matthew! ;) :rotfl:

I was supposed to be Hannah but when my mom's mom died a couple weeks before I was born, I became Patsy (after my grandma)..
It fits I guess. It's different and out of the ordinary, just like me!! :rotfl2:

Yeah, that's kinda how it was for all 4 of us with swimming. We knew all the same people and my sisters were always stealing my friends that were my age!:rotfl: (The bickering thing may be normal too, Lisa...you can catch us doing it too... :rotfl: ) I'm sure your boys will always be looking out for Teia like good big brothers!:goodvibes

Yes well...we'll just see about that H.;)
My parents were just looking for uncommon names that they liked. Now I know I know A LOT of Heather's and Holly's these days, but my mom said she only knew ONE Holly and doesn't understand how the name is so popular.:confused3 I have met a few Hayley's...but not a whole lot. And I've only ever met one Heidi but Hayley tells me it's a popular name?:confused3
(Well...not according to that link we did that told us how many of us there were in the U.S.!;) )

Yeah.. when it comes to naming this little one I wanted a name that was unique but not one of those crazy, off-the-wall the kid will regret it for life.

Tom and I talked names before I got pregnant (at Olive Garden once, haha) and picked Clayton James for our first boy and then Lucas Aaron as our backup. When his dad died, though, Lucas Aaron was bumped up to the top because Aaron was his dad's middle name.
Lucas is petty common these days but I don't think I care. :-D

I ALWAYS wanted Addison for a girl. For years, I have wanted Addison. Tom doens't like it. I liked Madelyn but we'd want to nickname her Maddie and his brother's girlfriend's little girl is Natalee and goes by "Natee" and we figured Maddie and Natee were too close together.
So we picked Cassidy. :)

Oh man.. Tom just got home from walking Rink and there is ice/snow/messiness everywhere out there. He said he slid down a hill and lost his grip on Rinks leash when it happened... and he said Rink ran down the hill, made sure he was all right and then took off!!

I'm sorta laughing my butt off. They're playing now.. haha

That sounds like Spirit to a T!:rotfl:
Yeah I've been thinking about names too. Just to have an idea when I'm ready for it.:rotfl: Lame but oh well...I finally decided on a boy's name if I ever have one!:goodvibes Not going to tell anyone til it happens...:rolleyes1
But I do like Madelyn. I kind of want an Alice or something to the like...my grandma's middle name is Alice and she passed away 6 years ago. I do like Lucas Aaron though!!:goodvibes I really like the name Aaron...for a boy anyways.

Yeah. His dad's middle name was Aaron, his brother's middle name is Aaron and his grandpa's name was Aaron (on his mom's side!) so it honors both his mom and dad's side of the family in one swoop.

I'm relieved we have our names done, seems they cause people a lot of stress. The girl might change but I doubt it. We're pretty set on Cassidy withh the middle name Dawn
I just need this week to fly by.. so I can enjoy my vacation.. and then the next week will be Christmas.. and then the next 5 months after that can just sail on by!

Ooo...I like Cassidy Dawn! That is very pretty.:goodvibes I hate when people just lump a middle name with a first name and they don't sound good together.:crazy2: Especially if it's a cute first name!! That's what's gonna take me the longest...is finding two names I like together. At least when I get pregnant I'll have nine months of planning!:rotfl:

Well, this is true. Long time to plan and think about names..

I'm trying to find a crib right now. Tom wants to match the paint for the nursery walls (the brown criss cross stripes I was talking about earlier) to the crib. So I need to find a crib.
Seems a bit early to me but I understand his thoughts. Try to make as much match as possible and he wants to get Tony in there to paint before we move in... so I am crib hunting.

I think I like this: http://www.amazon.com/DaVinci-Kalan...presso/dp/B0010TODHG/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
Whatcha think? haha.

Aww it's cute! Fancy lookin :p...but cute.:goodvibes I like darker wood better...my mom likes lighter wood better... Her opinion will be interesting when I have and decorate a house of my own!:rotfl:

Ohmygod, tell me about it.

My and my mother's taste could not be more off. At all. It's practically ridiculous. She likes country and old and (in my opinion) trashy stuff, and I like modern, clean-cut, etc.
She keeps buying me stuff and I keep telling her I don't want it. You think she'd of figured out in 6th grade when she flipped out on me in Sears because I refused to try on any of the clothes she picked out for me, that we were different.
But she doesn't get it. Just keeps trying to get me to go her way and getting mad at me when I don't. ERGH!
My dad had to start taking me shopping because my mother told him I was "Impossible" and she couldn't handle me.
Dad and I went out and were home within an hour because he listened. Haha. She ended up getting mad at him, too, if I remember correctly.
She's a crazy lady!

I've decided I'm not giving my parents a key to this house.. simply because they have a key to this one and things keep appearing!

Which is a whole lot better than if things keep DISaapearing. :rotfl:

Fun topic about names! Don't be surprised if when you meet the baby the name you wanted is close but not RIGHT and another name you never thought of pops in somehow and is BEST. ::yes::

My friend's daughter was going to be AMY but she took one look at her in the delivery room and said "You're not Amy, you're ERIN". And she is!

Jan :santa:

Hmm... interesting.

Never thought about that. (The name thing) Maybe Clayton will fit better. But Clayton Aaron doesn't sound right to me. Bummer! Now I need back ups! LOL!

Okay. Here is what I have for my nursery so far:
This is the piece at Mom and Dads (I finally found it online!) ::

Only instead of white it's a creamy eggshell-butter color.

I just ordered this crib:

Really cute, Patsy. Can't wait to see some pics with your little one in them! (I'm sure you feel the same!) :grouphug:
