Disney Wonder Sept 3-7,2006 Part 2

Love the kitty in the tree, Lisa!! :)

It always amazes me when you and Erica post pictures.. tile floors!

I just realized I got tagged again.. oh my!

Did you guys not have tile floors?:confused3

Most here is wood or carpet. :confused3

I've never had a tile floor until Tom and I tiled our laundry room and I'm NEVER in there. :rolleyes1
It's just different for me to see tile in the main living area of a home. Not bad- just different!

(Lisa, I was on the "Best Inventions Thread" on the CB!)

Wow. Interesting. We didn't have wood floors til we had our kitchen/front hallway redone. It was tiled, and our bathrooms are tiled as well. Well...not the downstairs one now...it's wood too now.
It's cool to learn how everyone has their house done differently.:goodvibes

Yeah, weird how much it differs from area to area.
Even my bathroom at my parents house was carpet. :rotfl:

Our new house has carpet over BEAUTIFUL oak original hardwoods from the 1920's, we'll be ripping that carpet up after we paint. Hardwood, here we come!

In our house in NJ, all we had was carpet and linoleum. The kitchen was tiny, and that had linoleum. Our tiny little bathroom (only ONE I might add :scared1: ) had odd little tiles. At one point, we even had carpet in there, too. LOL I still remember it. That was the only house I lived in until I moved to Florida (28 years). I think it makes more sense to have carpeting where you have colder climates. Here, most of the year, you're looking to cool down, not stay warm. :rolleyes1

Evening folks

Maybe that's what we had...linoleum. I was gonna say vinyl... It looked tiled though if you know what I mean?:confused3 But I guess I wouldn't really call it tiled now seeing our new bathroom with real tiles. But rooms like the family room, living room, dinning room, basement, and all of the upstairs besides the bathrooms is carpeted. I've never even heard of carpeted bathrooms before.:confused3 What happens if you don't make it!:rotfl:

:lmao: It wasn't permanent wall to wall carpeting in there. I don't know how to explain it, it was weird though. Nice and warm...I remember that.:rotfl:

Well Patsy said her bathroom was all carpet at her parents'.:rotfl:

Yup. Ours was more like a cut to fit kind of carpet. It was easily taken up. I don't know how long we had it though. It may not have been too long. :confused3 :rotfl:

:goodvibes Thanks Jan.

Here's my cat in our tree (before I could even get the branches open). You can see our walls in the background. The brownish color is taupe. This is our new tile. Our couch and loveseat are navy blue leather. I originally had a light wood laminate floor with a red/white/blue nautical area rug with an anchor in the center. I'm moving away from the nautical now and going with browns and blues... but still keeping the beach theme. My new living room area rug is chocolate brown/light brown and kind of a light blue-gray shag. My new curtains are the same colors, but striped.

All that's left now are our verticals. (They're laying next to me on the floor waiting for the installer LOL.) They're a whitewash color (textured but not fabric) in a style called Cottage by Levelor. We ended up doing all of this after our refrigerator leaked and destroyed our old floor and we filed an insurance claim. They were very generous so we were able to fix things up nicely. It was a blessing in disguise but it's been grueling. LOL
