Disney Wonder Sept 3-7,2006 Part 2

Neutral. I'm not finding out. You'll have to wait until June to find out if your prediction is right. :rotfl:

The colors look a LOT better on the chips, but here is an idea:

The two longer walls are going to be green, with the two end walls the yellow and a pattern like the criss crosses in this:

with the mocha brown!

Sounds nice :thumbsup2

He did an awesome job, I'd so be painting crazy/lazy and never have the restraint to do the squares so perfect.
(Tony will be painting the nursery, not I!)

I can't really stand painting and am overjoyed to have an excuse.. :cool2:

Thanks...I think he was upset about it but he's the one who started the trend! That is how he painted all of our bedroom doors out in the hallway. Most of the door is a very light blue (that I thought was white for a couple years before my dad said it was light blue!:rotfl: ) and the squares are a dark blue. So I don't understand what his problem was...don't do something if you don't want people to like it want it in their room as well!:rotfl:

Thank you!:goodvibes My dad did the door...I should give him credit for that huh... And all the bottom panel stuff whatever you call it...:rotfl: And about half my room or so...but I swear I did help!!:rotfl2:

I wanted to paint most of it myself but after the first coat it became very tiresome to have to do a second one...

Wainscotting (?) is that the word you meant? It means the half-way up part of a wall that is a different color -- usually wood however.

.

She is in the kennel.:sad1: With Kodi, we had our neighbor come by every so often to let her out and feed her at dinner time. But Spirit is just to mischievous for that. Ocassionally we'd have her go to my mom's dad, he loves dogs. But he has sold his house by us and is permanently in Florida now so she has to go to the kennel.:sad1: I helped my dad take her...she never likes going.:guilty: But the people there seem to love her. One girl even said most of the time she kept Spirit up front at the desk with her. So hopefully that makes things more pleasant for her?

Sounds like they treat her like a Mascot. She sure should like it.

Jan :)

If it's what I'm thinking of (Twilight) yes.. because the Lamb is Bella and she puts the Lion, Edward, through a lot of torture because she smells so good. He loves her, he wants to protect her, she is the hardest thing he's ever had to face, etc. :)

So the Vampire protects Bella instead of biting her? So that would be masochistic since he is fighting his own instincts. OK, I get it.

Jan ;)

Oh no. In our house its just like a 2-3 inch part, like what is seen around my door. That also is the edging against the floor. I'm not sure if it has a word other than panelling?:confused3 It looks exactly like the dark part around the door and is the same length. It's on the bottom of the walls throughout most of our house. However...wainscotting is probably what we have in our family room, wood half-way or maybe a third or so up the wall.

Yep. He loves her. :goodvibes

I kinda explained it adequately.. :rotfl2: I'm not very clear when I speak.

SOUNDS LOVELY!! :thumbsup2
What is the bottom half of the walls? Paneling?

Why is the lion a masochist? A masochist is someone who enjoys receiving pain. A sadist is someone who enjoys inflicting pain. Pain is inflicted on the lion by the lamb???

Jan :confused3

The bottom 4' is white beadboard paneling.

The quote scrolling is from the book Twilight. The "lion" is a vampire who falls in love with the "lamb" (a human).

LOL that's what we have...the beadboard is wainscotting.

Read the books. They're amazing!

The rececorating plan sounds lovely.

Thanks for helping clear this up. From reading your discussions here I had figured out where the quote came from and who it was about however that "masochistic" part did not make sense until Patsy reminded me that he loves Bella and protecting her would go against his instincts to take a bite.

I have a pile of books I want to read and own already so will not get into something else until I have finished them. I spend too much time DISing and Facebooking and working to get to read until I figure out how to knit at the same time. I can do that on the computer as the pages stay open but with a book my hands have to hold it. Therefore, I am really GLAD when you all discuss books and movies as it fills me in! THANKS!

:goodvibes Thanks Jan.

Here's my cat in our tree (before I could even get the branches open). You can see our walls in the background. The brownish color is taupe. This is our new tile. Our couch and loveseat are navy blue leather. I originally had a light wood laminate floor with a red/white/blue nautical area rug with an anchor in the center. I'm moving away from the nautical now and going with browns and blues... but still keeping the beach theme. My new living room area rug is chocolate brown/light brown and kind of a light blue-gray shag. My new curtains are the same colors, but striped.

All that's left now are our verticals. (They're laying next to me on the floor waiting for the installer LOL.) They're a whitewash color (textured but not fabric) in a style called Cottage by Levelor. We ended up doing all of this after our refrigerator leaked and destroyed our old floor and we filed an insurance claim. They were very generous so we were able to fix things up nicely. It was a blessing in disguise but it's been grueling. LOL

Been there, done that !!

That's when I have to remind myself to pray or I will go crazy with fear.

Tae Ja--can you post the picture of the lights on the monument from the inside? That is TOO COOL :thumbsup2:

Jan :santa:

I had Amanda in the back next to tears!!! We can laugh at it now!!!:lmao:

This is the picture Tae Ja took from underneath looking up. I asked if she would post it.

I was not clear as to what I wanted her to post, so here it is. I hope she does not mind and when I learn if she is OK with it, I will post it on the two other threads I follow. (Tae Ja--OK to do that?)

THANKS YOU FOR THE PENGUIN TAE JA!!

Nice photo!!!!

So, I have to write a speech. I have to have a BOOK (no internet) for at least one source.

Would it be weird if I wrote the speech about pregnancy? It's supposed to be informative, if I read it correctly, so I could take about the different trimesters, different tests they do, old wive's tales, etc.
I'm trying to utilize the resources I have here because I don't want to shower just to go to the library to get ONE book.

I don't actually give the speech, just write it and e-mail it in.

Thats a great idea!

:goodvibes Thanks Jan.
